Aircast Replacement Sock Liner for Aircast Walker Brace / Walking Boot

Soft, long, breathable. Not too tight and they don’t sag down with wear. No annoying wrinkling or folds that end up bugging you after you are lashed into your boot. Washer/dryer safe. I had surgeries on each calf and one foot, at the same time. Two tall cam boots. I ordered the socks, thinking they might be helpful. I didn’t use them for the first two weeks since I couldn’t take the boots off. Under the boots, I had bandages and Ace bandages from my feet to my knees. Since those first two weeks, I now wear these socks all the time and they are the best. At first, I was a little concerned because they are not 100% cotton and I was worried about feeling hot and smothered with a synthetic mix. That wasn’t the case! I think these are a slightly looser weave than regular socks and it feels like they can breathe. I had thought about cutting off the toes of the sock even though it’s winter, but I haven’t felt the need, even when I’m in bed. I said the socks were easy to put on and it’s easy to avoid irritating wrinkles, but the toes are a minor exception. They are too wide on me and just need to be tweaked and smoothed before fastening up the boot. Last night, my cam boot socks didn’t make it out of the laundry and I had to find something else to wear to bed with my boots. I went through 3 different types of socks and was miserable for most of the night. I tried some thin Christmas knee-high socks that made my feet feel sweaty and smothered. I had some cotton athletic socks that felt too snug and the top was too close to my healing incisions. I finally managed to get to sleep with some cotton ankle socks, carefully smoothed and some light flannel pajama pants covering my calves. I ordered two more today. I’m not going to get stuck without them again. They are soft inside and stay that way through the washer and dryer. I’m about 5’8” and I don’t have to even slightly stretch them and they will cover my knees. Side note: I thought this was going to be two pair of socks (probably because that’s what I wanted, so that’s what I read.) It is for TWO socks, which makes sense because normal people don’t have on two boots at once...! If you’re stuck wearing the tall boot all the time, you’ll appreciate having a clean change periodically!

These are perfect, very comfortable and stretches very well and thick. I broke my ankle and I’m in an orthopedic boot. I tried another company that had orthopedic socks returned them. They were awful. They were thin and tight when you first break something in your foot. It’s very tender to have anything touch your skin. I’m only in my third day of my break and these orthopedic socks are the best!!

I love these sock liners. They're a dream to wear -- but if the velcro straps of my aircast so much as touch the sock (when both taking off the boot and putting it back on) threads gets caught and/or there's pilling. After 2 weeks the socks are functional, but they look somewhat raggedy.

These are absolutely needed for anyone in a CAM boot. They are soft and very stretchy, so you can fold them over the top of the boot to help with the boot top digging in

These work fine with the boot and with Plantar fasciitis braces. I kept wearing them as sleep socks as they are non constricting and stay up well to warm the lower legs and feet. I gave many pairs away at Christmas . They are not very fancy socks, but all the other qualities out weigh that. Super soft, hug just enough, roomy in the toe area, allow wiggling of your toes so you are not claustrophobic about bed stocks. It’s an acquired habit, but like a sleep mask, which I also pooh-pooped for years, there is a reason people embrace the idea.

I fractured my fibula and even slightly touching my ankle was painful. I am in an aircast for 6 weeks however, they didn't give me a sock to wear. The first couple of days, I was wearing my usual athletic ankle socks as a crew sock was too painful to pull on. I was able to slip on a loose anke sock however, due to the swelling and the seams of the boot, It was very uncomfortable. So, I ordered a pair of these socks and wow!! What a difference!! They were easy to slide on and off and they covered the entire lower leg to prevent the boot from rubbing or cutting off circulation. They are also soft and moisture absorbing. I ordered 3 more pair to make sure I have a clean sock at all times. The only advice I would give is to be careful of the Velcro on the boot as it will stick to the sock and pull the fabric. If you ask me, I don't care....as long as it's comfortable!!

Too hot, and low quality. They're full of pulls and looking like garbage after two wears and washes. (I live in a warm place, and I'm a hot natured person, so ymmv).

Returned the product. It looks loose right out of the package, so much so that I didnt even be bother trying it on.

Fabulous socks, be great for afterwards as warm winter round the house socks too

I had two different foot surgeries a year apart - with 5 procedures done on each foot. I am also a diabetic and diabetics have to be extremely careful with what socks you wear - not only in your Aircast Walking Boot but also in your regular shoes when you are out of your boot cast - to make sure they are not cutting off your circulation in any way. If things don't go good - as a diabetic - you could possibly be looking at amputation. The surgeon wasn't even sure what I was going to be able to use as an Aircast Boot sock as he has very few diabetics willing to do foot surgery in the first place. I bought three different brands of Aircast Boot socks on Amazon and/or from a local medical supply store. You don't want any hard seams in the socks anywhere (one pair had a thick seam all along the toe part of the sock so I had to throw those) as a seam like that will rub on the end of your toes. This will feel even worse when they are compressed in the Aircast Boot - and that can actually be quite painful. You also don't want them to be so tight they feel like they are cutting off your circulation like another pair I ordered. And you want them to stretch easily so they fit up and possibly over your knees. I read the feedback on these socks and gave them a chance and they were fantastic. They are very hard to buy right now in local medical supply stores or online with long back orders because of supply chain problems everyone is having - so if you can buy them on here in stock - get as many pairs as you can while you can. I have really long legs so the socks were long enough to go up and over my knee. I had to wear them for 10 weeks for each surgery. Constant washing (during your boot cast wearings - your leg sheds tons of skin onto the socks so you need to keep washing them or they will start to smell really bad. made them break down a bit - the loose elastic that is woven into the fabric started to pull away into strings inside the socks - so my toes would get caught on them. But that was with constant wearing and washing them for 10 weeks. You may do better to buy more than a few pairs and hand wash or wash them in a delicate cycle on your washing machine and only air dry them or dry them in the dryer on extra low heat or no heat cycle. Over the last two years I have purchased 4 pairs of these socks from this company and they are great. Another thing I want to recommend as I purchased three different types of Aircast Walking Boots is I found the Ossur Rebounder Tall Aircast Boot to be the most comfortable, easy to get on and off and easy to walk in of all of the boot casts - the other two couldn't compare! The only negative with the Ossur boot cast is the pump is on the top centre part of the boot which means if you buy a knee scooter you will need one that has a notch on it - otherwise the boot will constantly deflate will each step - LOL! I didnt use my scooter for long so it wasnt an issue.

Soft with lots of. Cushion and stretch. Washes well. Worth the money, and my foot doesn't get overheated.
