When my hat arrived the package that it arrived in had been smashed during transit. Because of the excellent care of your packing of the hat in the box it did not effect the brim nor anything else on the hat! Hat was packed in a box and the "leather" ribbon was packed improperly and left a link in the ribbon. This was a minor problem as a little steam made it sit flush against the hat again. For the price, though you won't see anything comparable.
