Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder Black Tea

This is great tea. It has just enough caffeine, not too much. Plus it has roasted mat'e. I enjoy it as much as coffee, it's not a pale imitation.

I found that coffee makes me jittery and it also upsets my stomach a bit, so I needed a strong replacement. Morning Thunder definitely fits the bill for me. There's enough caffeine in it to really wake me up and since it's a tea, you don't really get nasty coffee mouth after you drink it. For me, there aren't any side effects other than being more awake. The flavor is very herby and grassy. It reminds me a little of the Asian grass jelly drink. It's not something that I would order at a restaurant, but the flavor is passable for me so I don't mind drinking it. The leaves come in fancy pouches that don't have a string attached. I've found that I can either let it sit for a while to get stronger or I can stir it to speed up the process. I don't know if tea aficionados would object to stirring it, but I suspect that tea aficionados would be buying loose leaf tea anyways. Overall, I find it to be a great replacement for coffee or any other caffeinated drink. It definitely wakes me up and I don't get any of the side effects of drinking coffee like bad breath, the jitters or an upset stomach.

I got my package of six boxes of Morning Thunder this afternoon and was looking forward to trying it in the morning, but around nine o’clock this evening my curiosity got the best of me and I made myself a steaming cup. I LOVE THE FLAVOR! Holy mackerel, I was shocked I could taste it because I had Covid a couple years ago and I still can’t taste most things. FYI … I made banana bread this afternoon and can’t taste it at all. The texture is great, but I can’t get even a smidgen of flavor out of it. I can taste really intense flavors like green olives, sauerkraut, anchovies, etc., … but subtle flavors are a distant memory … so I am THRILLED with this tea. It’s now nearly ten-thirty PM and I’m in bed. I’m not at all jittery from the caffeine and I’m actually yawning, so I may have to have two cups of thunder in the morning to kick-start my day ….. YUM!

Best coffee replacement ever! Contains caffeine but much less acidic than even mild blends of coffee. Great wake me up!

...and so do our guests. A very good, strong flavor and nice energy from the maté that is matched with the black tea. If I substitute any other black tea, boyfriend will immediately ask if we have more Morning Thunder. He notices the flavor difference immediately. This is a great Celestial Seasonings tea. Very few stores carry it in the coal region so I have been purchasing it online here in bulk. If you are a black tea connoisseur, give this tea a try and let me know what you think. ;-)

The mate gives it a different taste. Its unlike anything else so its difficult to describe. It can be a bit off putting because it overpowers any natural black tea flavor. When milk or a flavoring is added its not bad. It may be one of those things that either you like or you dont. After this introduction of mate I will avoid anything with it in the future.

Better than coffee in my opinion, try adding organic cows milk, stevia, and cinnamon stir and enjoy .
