One of the oldest and best solvents
I've been using this product for many, many years and it has always worked well to keep my firearms in good condition. Some people don't like the smell of it but I have grown accustomed to it and to me it's the smell of a clean gun. Every brand of firearm solvent has a strong smell so it just depends which one you prefer.

Ahhhhhhhh, that Old No. 9
The smell instantly took me back 50 years to the kitchen table with my Dad and cleaning our shotguns after a day of bird hunting. It cleans perfectly but it's worth just smelling it again.

Good Ol No. 9 Formula
I have used this for many decades. With all the new brands that promise better cleaning, I find the Traditional Hoppes #9 to work just fine. It is not the strongest solution for cleaning, but it offers a good balance solution that cleans and lubes without ruining other parts (polymer, wood, rubber, grips, finish, etc.).
