Welsh Brew Tea, Tea Bags, 40-Count Package, 4.4 oz, (Pack of 4)

I discovered Welsh Brew tea a couple of years ago at my local grocery store in the "international" section but they haven't been able to keep it on the shelves consistently so I'm happy to find it here at Amazon. I'd been looking for a more mellow, less acidic tea for many years and this is it. In comparison, PG Tips is very acidic to my taste. It made a good strong cup, I could even say it had a "sharp" flavor, but it left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. Welsh Brew leaves no bitter aftertaste. It's smooth and leans toward the sweet side of tea flavor. As another reviewer put it, it's a good "anytime" tea. I'll add that it's delicious by itself and needs no accompaniment like milk or sugar but works well with those if you wish to add them.

I bought a 4 box pack because that was the only one available at the time. The tea taste fine but only has a short time before it will be out of date. This would have been okay except it's a 4-pack each pack containing 40 tea bags. I spent too much money on this for the shelf life to be almost up. Tea is not good if it's not fresh.

For a teabag product this is really good. Brews up nice and rich for a proper cuppa tea with milk.

I'm a lifelong daily tea drinker and this is my absolute favorite. I'm not sure what I'd do if I couldn't buy it any longer..except mourn and seek it's equal. It's very strong black tea so if you like it wimpy ala Lipton's move along. The flavor here is deep and rich. I love the tannins...so, unconventionally, I leave the bag in the cup "for-ev-errrr". Not for the faint of heart!However that's certainly not required..my mate will do a usual five minute steep and out the bag comes. Buying it here on Amazon is a good deal for me and it came promptly.

This has become my favorite black tea. I was given a box as a gift and liked it so much I searched to find a place to buy it. Happily I found it here. Strong, dark and yet smooth, not bitter at all -even when I leave the tea bag in the cup! One bag can be used in a pot to still make 2 good cups of tea. But if you want it darker use one bag per cup.

A great anytime tea. Much stronger and more flavorful than American blends. Made with higher quality tea lives it IS stronger, but not as bitter as traditional American blends. This bodes well for the breakfast tea drinker as it is much easier on the stomach.Goes well with cream and sugar, but I drink with just 2 lumps of sugar.Very rich and full of flavor, steeps quickly and evenly. My favorite tea for the needed afternoon pick me up. Very invigorating.

I've been drinking Welsh Brew tea for years, ever since I first discovered it in a local shop. It's been difficult to find recently, so I'm glad that amazon.com is offering it. It's a strong, robust tea, but not bitter or overpowering. I drink it every morning!

Welsh Brew is an excellent anytime tea. We have been drinking it for years and are delighted to find it again on Amazon. We have had it on our list for notification of availability and were pleased to see it return. This is a tasty tea with lots of flavor and is great with sugar and milk.My only complaint is that it seems it is often unavailable for order.Update: 11.11.10 We have now been waiting for a month for it to be available again. I signed up for the Subscribe and Save program for this item and the cost is wonderful. If it would just become available again I would be happy. We are down to our last box of tea.
