This is Otis, what is not to like? I have one for the house and one for the car. I play this when I need pepping up to tackle housework, Many great tunes on this cd.Yes, I still purchase cd’s. Never could get into a playlist on my phone. I don’t like having my phone with me 24-7 to hear music. I like cd’s.

Comforting music. I play "These arms of mine" when thinking of my companion who passed away a few years ago. Quality is good, recordings are clear and it's Otis, what more can be said.

If you don't have money for the box set or the 2 CD set or just want a primer for Otis Redding's sound, then this is it. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that it lacks his amazing *Dreams to Remember*.I have spent countless nights ruminating over lost love while listening to Otis's lovely gruff voice and his great backing band. Listen to #3,4,5,7,9,13,17 or 18 to get a taste of his unparrelled soul balladery.You can't go wrong with this one.

On my THIRD copy of this collection!To know where you're going, you must know where you've been. Redding is the root of so much of our music. A MUST have!

Ah, Otis Redding. The man is incredible! Whenever I hear "Try a Little Tenderness" it makes get up and dance! It's a very rousing soulful song, as all of the other songs on this cd album. Otis has the kind of voice that no one possesses at all. He usually starts singing tenderly on most of his songs, then he goes into a soulful frenzy like he's in a Baptist church. If you get this cd, you must get his "live" album "Live In Europe". It's one of the best live albums ever produced.

Absolutely love this music! Purchased this same cd before but someone took it from the case and kept it. I just had to have another one.

Otis Redding fans listen up. This CD is packed with a lot of favorite tunes Otis Redding recorded. I gave this CD as one of my husband's Christmas gifts and we listened to it that day. Our children also loved the melodies and we kept replaying the CD. A must have CD.

nice cd , sound quality on this cd is very good , Barry Diament did the mastering of this cd, if you know of him he is well regarded,recommended.

the up side there is a good selection of songs the down it sounds a bit like someone recorded it off of old 45 s, the sound is inconsistent and has a lot of extraneous noise some places , it could just be my copy but i wouldn t count on it. that being said its not worse than listening to old 45s and its Otis
