Mostly pictures with very little information on how to.

Despite the promising description do not buy if you are hoping to learn the art of topiary from scratch as I was. This book has nice pictures of topiary and lots of history on the subject. What it does not have is much in the way of instruction, ie training plants from scratch either shop bought/taken from cuttings, forming topiary balls and such. So, if you are looking for history, this book is for you, if you are looking for step-by-steps, and instructions of how to start from scratch, this is not for you.

tells you the how and they why and not all about making formal lollipop or chicken shapes but rather how to shape shrubs etc into organised shapes to complement a space

Lovelly book, bought as a gift. Will have to get myself one. Arrived on a Monday after ordering it on Saturday.

Interesting if you are a keen gardener although not quite what I was expecting
