Very handy on the nightstand, kitchen and garage. I use my phone a lot. This is great to recharge the phone while using it anywhere. Sony was smart to make the magnetic charging port for their phone. I would not use this charger in the car, it tends to fall over if you have a lead foot, and shakes off if the roads are less than perfect. But that's the only negative I can think of
