Works well with my Hobie Island Tandem under sail.
Very sturdy . Good length for my purpose which is to push off in sand, shell and mud if run aground in tidal creeks.

sunk my sand spear!
My sand spear sank yesterday on a windy day. I have only used it a few times but loved it. I went out yesterday and it was windy. i was trying out my new tackle rack and placed the spear up against the rack when.... plump....it was gone! I tried to get back into position and retrieve it, but it was too windy with dirty water. I would love for this pole to have the ability to float! I'm going back to find this pole on a calm low tide day. If i find it I'll definitely attach something to help it float!
