Great Amp
Sounds great, 2 channel with independent gain and footswitch, good balance value/price. Channel 1 its a hard rock gain, and channel 2 with Boost on its great for metal.

Important stuff here
I don't want to come out bashing this amp straight away, but there are some MAJOR issues i have with this amp. I took it down to the rehearsal room today and have made the following observations that you may want to know about before purchasing this amp.It is not loud enough. 80 watts at 8 ohms is where I was running it. I know that it puts out 120 watts at 4 ohms, but I thought my EV loaded cab would make the most of the 80 watts. It didn't. My other guitar player was drowning me out with a 50 watt tube marshall. again, I know that solid state is quieter than tubes, but any company selling an amp head used for metal should be aware that this thing does not put out enough volume. It comes close, but not close enough. The channel switching is pointless. The "clean" channel is so much darker than the lead channel, switching between the two does not yield good results. I don't know anyone who wants their clean channel to sound bigger and darker than their lead channel. The "both channels" setting is useless as well. Trying to blend the two may seem like a cool idea, but it just doesn't work. The volume knob only works halfway up. Once you turn it past 12 0'clock, the amp doesn't get any louder. When you reach peak volume of this amp, it starts sounding crappy. They should have taken a cue from the Randall Warhead and made it 300 watts, so there would be some headroom. My experience has been that when you push a solid state amp to it's limit, the sound quality gets worse. The reverb sucks. Should have just skipped it and knocked 50 bucks off the price.Other than these things, the amp sounds pretty cool. I'm being serious here. i think part of the reason I'm so disappointed with this head is because it sounds great at lower volumes. Just know that this high gain amp isn't like other high gain amps. The distortion has a certain character to it... fizzy(?) might be the right word here. This amp was made to get Dime's tone, and I think it comes pretty close to doing that.So if you're considering this amp, remember that you'll be pushing the amp to it's limits if you are playing with a drummer. And if your situation is like mine, it won't be loud enough.

Very nice amp
I have been playing guitar for about 5 years now and I love pantera's sound but I could never afford a 1000 to 2000 dollar Randall or Krank amp.So when I saw that Dean made a Dime amp for 400 dollars I had to check it out and a year later I still love playing my Dime amp its loud with a very nice gain.I also found that if you put a boss 7 band eq pedal in the loop and scoop just a little bit of the mid range out you nail that Dimebag sound. For the money you just can't beat the Dime amp for quality and sound.
