The Best
I can't say anything about this knife tool that hasn't already been said. I purchased this utility knife based solely on all the five star reviews attached to this product.Upon receiving this knife before I went to work today, I took a few minutes to open it and take a good look at it. This knife is everything that was written about it. I have used the utility knives that you can purchase at Lowe's, Home Depot, and Ace as well as Walmart and Dixon. Every single one of them were pieces of junk that only lasted a month and upon holding them for the first time out of the box, they all felt like weak aluminum box cutters. The worst thing about them were the guard flaps. They would loosen within a week, causing the blades to fall out while I was using the blade. That's to say nothing about the cuts I would get as a result.Needless to say, I stopped using them and just bought a couple of pocket knives. After much trial and error with the $12 specials from Autozone and other like places, I just bought a Buck 110, outta boredome and never looked back. Afterall, a few laps on a strop everyday after work and it was razor sharp. The knife was durable, and it cut what I needed to cut like a samurai sword going through watermelons. Then recently after years of that, my boss took away the privilege of being able to use it at work and told me to use only box cutters. Obviously I was ready to strangle this person. But as this was due to some fool at work who indiscreetly abused said privilege, I had no choice but to understand and concede. So after a couple days of searching the web for something sturdy, this knife came to my attention and now I'll never look back, I'm in love all over again. It was heavy and solid like my Buck, the blade guard is solid and bolted together, the ratcheting system is strong and ingenius . . . I would recommend no other utility knife in THE WORLD.

This is the best utility knife ever!!!
This is by far the best folding utility knife out there. I use this kind of knife all the time at work and have bought dozens over the years, all different brands and styles. These knives all had one thing in common - they all fell apart. Some took longer than others, but none have made it to a year. Except this knife. Easy to use (once you do it a few time) and definitely built to last. Solid clip, easy blade changes and I have grown to absolutely love the ratchet system used on this knife. If you use a utility knife a lot and want to buy a good one that will last forever then this is the knife you're looking for. Worth every penny.

hello seber? you there? fix it!
Great knife (a bit on the heavy side - not edc) until screws started falling out. I noticed the lever/button to remove the blade was loose. no biggie. tighten...done. next time i used the knife the lever/button and the nut on the inside were gone. kids somehow found them and i again fixed. fell out the last time and are gone for good. continued to use because it still had a good blade in it. noticed the clip screws were loose and one was missing. ok im done now. (other than this review)no one answered the only phone number i could find at seber. they say you can get a hold of them through email but no email provided. i tried. they say it has a lifetime warranty but you have to cover shipping. there and back and the knife is totalled.id totally recommend the knife if i could reach them and work this out. the time ive now wasted on this review would of gone to communicating with them but oh well. if they get back to me i may update this review.

Solid knife but needs refined.
Spring that holds blade release popped out, so I removed it completely. Isn't real comfortable to hold. Pocket clip is large and easily catches on stuff it isn't supposed to.You have to move the button to open the knife, then move it the other way to close it, kind of a pain, would be better to just have a spring loaded button that would allow you to move knife to where you want it and lock it there.Locking at small angles is nice for cutting plastic pipe and stripping insulation off of large electrical cables.

Very good utility knife -- handles all the basics you want including unique adjustable locking angle feature
Very good utility blade knife.Pros:Durable stainless steel.Blade removal w/o toolsAdjustable locking angle for bladeCons:Heavy.Poor styling -- something a Russian would designFair ergonomics for hand-holding -- wished it had finger guard like Gerber EAB Lite.2-handed operationAlternatives:Milwaukee Fastback 3 -- I give it 5 stars.Better: aluminum handle - lighter.Wider - easier to hold.Features - built-in wire cutter and extra blade storage, 2 locking positions.Easier - opens and closes with one hand with flipping motion.

Done searching
I repair businesses and homes and I have been through many of these knifes and every one had some flaw in the design that drove me nuts. Been using and carrying this knife daily for a few months and I think I'm done upgrading. It is heavy but that is because it is made of stainless steal not cheap aluminum. I have had to order others for people I work with after they use it. I believe this knife will last me the rest of my life.

Beast of a handle
If you are a carpet installer, this blade is for you. Beefy! Man card required for ownership! If you want a pocket knife to open letters this way overkill. Its not the fastest to open, but speed is not what this handle is about. Its job is locking in the place you want it to and getting the job done.

Solid utility knife
Quality utility knife. The weight is substantial - just feels solid in ones hand. Grip is perfect and after a few times opening and closing feels very natural. Blade has no play at all. Will never buy a 'disposable' utility knife again at half the price...
