I have been using this shower filter for several months and it seems to work well for reducing basic chemicals from the shower water. It is very easy to install and looks great with the other rubbed bronze shower facings and shower head I have. The water pressure through the filter is much better than some other filters I have used. As well as this filter works, it does not soften water or remove calcium from the shower water. One feature I wish the filter had would be a ball joint which would allow the attached shower head to pivot to desired angles.

Installing this was a breeze. Took a few mins to get it on and didn’t need a wrench to tighten. Looks really nice and I love that it’s compact. I did a lot of research to find the best one within budget and although I’m not a fan of the “unscrew the casing from the middle” to remove the filter, this was the only option for my budget and having it be the correct color for my shower fixtures. I just wish the filter was to the side kinda like the delta that way there’s nothing to remove…. Just a simple twist and pull. As for the water pressure, I ran the water for a good 10 mins after install and didn’t have decreased water pressure. The water also ran clear (which it always does anyway). I also don’t have any leaks. I’m not sure how much chlorine or hard metals it will remove so I would have to test that and update my review. Overall it looks good and I already feel my skin being softer than before while I was flushing the filter after I installed it as instructed. Love it so much that I purchased another for my ceiling shower head!

Great filter. Easy to attach. May not last as long as some others, but at least it doesn't leak!

I purchased this at request of my wife, who felt that our chlorinated somewhat hard water was having a negative impact on her hair and face. We have used it for a few months now and she swears by it. She says that the difference in her hair and face is noticeable. She has always been able to detect subtle changes in water quality, hardness, and chemical content. For my part, I have noticed that any chlorine smell is gone and the hardness of the water has not changed. We have amazing water pressure in our condo and a very high flow shower head that the device has not interfered with. However, it does take room behind your showerhead so if your shower head already sits low on the wall, this device will make it lower. I would recommend this device.

Great product. Doesn't leak, fits perfectly with my showerhead. Installation takes barely a minute. Definitely great value and serves an important purpose. I only wish it would fit my bathroom and kitchen sinks.

Immediately noticed a difference in the way my water felt, smelled, and even tasted. It no longer feels hard and it doesn't dry my skin out. My scalp has cleared up completely since I installed it. The unit feels very solid, and it doesn't leak at all. Took all of five minutes to install and came with plumber's tape to wrap around the existing faucet. With the results I've experienced, the value is definitely unbeatable.

I bought this filter in large part ,because of it being compact in size. I didn't want to lose height from the position of my shower head to facilitate a filter inbetween it and where it attaches to the plumbing. When it said "chrome" I assumed (incorrectly, which I realized when it arrived) that it was made from metal. It is not; It is plastic. However, it seemed sturdy, and it appeared to be made from two individual pieces of molded plastic. That it is not either. these are made from (at least) four pieces of plastic two each of which are fused somehow to form the two components of the filter housing. Two months after having chaned the filter for the second time the housing exploded while I was in the shower. It made a loud crack and water started shooting at a right angle towards the rest of my bathroom. I of course immediately shut it off and have now cleaned the mess it made of my bathroom floor (and called my security company to let them know the water sensor that went off, was not as a result of my house flooding). Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent shower filter made of steel with brass fittings and a water tight interior for its filter? I would now (and would have even then) paid three times this price for one made to last.

I really wish I could say this works. I bought it because I suffer from severe psoriasis primarily on my head and it's significantly worse in winter. I was hoping this would decrease the dryness on my scalp and skin and hopefully lessen the psoriasis flare ups. I've been using it consistently for a month and a half now and haven't noticed any difference. My skin feels the same level of dryness out of the shower as before and I've actually noticed my hair is drier and more frizzy than before using this. It may work for some depending on your water but it didn't work for me. On the plus side I found it very easy to install.

Worked okay in the beginning - some noticeable difference do our hard Toronto water. But I can’t open the thing to change the filter. It’s screwed so tight and we’ve tried everything but breaking it open!
