Otis Stratosphere Futon Mattress (Full)

When it became time to look for something to replace my 20+-year-old futon mattress, research led me to Otis. More expensive than the rest, it took me a while to save up my gift cards to get it, but I finally did--four years, to be exact. But it was totally worth it.This futon is very comfortable, with no divots in the mattress like the old one. It really is six inches, just like they said, and has a great amount of thickness between you and the slats. I've sat on it watching TV, and napped on it, and it's so nice and comfy.It arrived packed tightly in a box, with an easy-to-open pull tab that goes around the entire thing. The box says not to use a knife, so don't. Just pull the tab, and the box splits in half. You just pull it right out. The futon itself is wrapped in plastic, which you can easily cut right off with scissors--just don't cut the mattress!We put a cover right on it and it fits perfectly. And as you can see, the cat thoroughly approves.

I replaced my old lumpy cotton mattress and this is so much better. I use my futon mostly in couch mode, and so far so good. Fits my 6" futon cover.

Purchased this for futon we use as sofa. Came in unmarked packaging, not in clear box shown in product picture. But mattress is just what we wanted. Firm yet comfortable for long sits on movie nights. If the price was a bit less, I'd give it another star.

Comfortable and I like that it is not very heavy, so it is easy to move.

Comfortable as a bed and as a sofa. I love not feeling the wooden slats when I pull my futon out to lay down. I don't recall if you have to, but I flip this monthly.

I will keep this, but was very disappointed by the quality of the futon considering the price point. The stitching was crooked and the whole thing does not feel well made. Also there were rust stains on the covering. Save your money.
