They aren't glazed on the inside, but they do have a drainage hole. My review has pictures of how they look on the inside & out. You are welcome to look at those.

Q: Are these aquarium safe?

I would soak them in jug of water first to see if they bleed before I would put in my aquariums.

Q: Would these be good pots to grow herbs from a herb garden kit?

Yes they have holes in the bottom. Need lots of light to grow anything.

Good pots.

The pots themselves are fine. However, the 'marbling' looks like it's been printed on and you can see faint lines where the ink (or whatever it is) is. Shouldn't be a problem unless you look closely.
