After turning off, would the light remember the last setting it was on e.g. warm white at 50%, so when I turn it back on it would be the exact same?

I can confirm from firsthand use that it remembers its settings. If you set it to 50% brightness and 4000K, kill the power, then restore the power, the LEDs will kick back on at 50% brightness and 4000K, just as you'd want. The only setting I've noticed that they don't remember is "Off". I.e. They always come on when the power is restored, even if you had previously turned them off with the remote.

Can the strip be plugged into a smart plug and controlled by alexa or google home? basically if i unplug it do i always have to press the on/off?

This strip has no smarts, but it does automatically come back on whenever power is restored, and it remembers its previous settings, so it should behave as you want if it's plugged into a smart plug.

I need to run these to another cabinet. I have doorbell wire....2 wires. What connector do I need?

Not sure you can link 2 strips together...supply may have only enough power for 1. Anyway strip and connector has 3 flat pins evenly spaced

can these work with a regular dimmer?

They come w their own power supply and remote dimmer so no. They can’t work w a regular dimmer.
