For those who want some technical feedback
Completely new tech (capture card) for me. But after a couple of days, here is what I learnt. It's natively recognised by Windows and Raspberry pi. No drivers needed. Works out the box. Tested with VLC on Windows and Hyperion on Raspberry Pi. Supports YUYV or MJPG (Both these codecs are new to me, I believe YUYV is what you'd call "raw" video). But latency. I couldn't get consistent results, more than likely my testing apparatus/method. For example, in Windows, I'd get way better latency after killing DWM (I think this is a long standing issue with my laptop). However, best case, from a 1080p source the best I got was 100ms capturing 640*480 YUYV. Which isn't bad for a £10 device. Capturing MJPG at 1080p was around 150-250ms. Again, not bad. I'm quite surprised really as I'd have thought the device would have to do some conversions depending on the source/destination resolution/codec, but here we are. Device does get warm but nothing I'd worry about. Quality when capturing 1080p source/destination using VLC/MJPG seems about as clear as the source. Audio, no comment, didn't test it. Will probably buy another one as a general use KVM type use. Probably worth checking the supported resolutions if it matters to you, it does capture MJPG1080p at 60fps, but YUYV tapers of significantly from 5fps at 1080 down to 30fps at 640. My understanding is that this is a limitation of USB 2.0.

Impressed
My son was making videogame walkthroughs on YouTube directly off the Switch screen, so I took a punt on a cheap capture device, not really expecting much. This surpassed my expectations. We recorded straight into a laptop with the recommended software, and worked perfectly. There's a little input lag, but not enough that he couldn't play - he didn't even really notice. It might be an issue for games heavily reliant on timing (fighting games for example). The picture and sound quality were great - just as good as other YouTubers we've seen. It stuttered briefly one time in about 30 minutes of video we recorded in total. Worth noting that we were recording a Nintendo Switch, with an output of 1080p. Most consoles go higher than this, so I can't speak for the results at higher resolutions.

Bought for a friend with a drone
He has a new done so i bought him this item and some others. Hes done some amazing drine shots using these so they obviously work well and he likes them. I dont have the drone name or technical details but he said they are great value for money, great picture quality and audio and would buy again. M

Waste of Time and Money
I bought this product in hope that it would be a cheaper solution than the Elgato. I was wrong. it arrived and was very loose and did not fit well into my PC, i then connected a HDMI to my camera and used it as the capture card like its meant to be used. Only showing a black screen and nothing more, my PC could not recognise it. I then Updated drivers and tried reconnecting it several times only for it not to work. this product is a waste of money and you should hold out for a better capture card like Elgatos.

Average at best.
It was really easy to set up and use, and it worked well. But the big thing that takes it down to 3 stars is that it has (roughly) a 1 second delay between what is actually happening and what is displayed. For the stuff I used it on, luckily I could play it one one screen and record to another screen, so it wasn't much of an issue with editing. However on some devices I can see how this would be an issue, like a nintendo switch, where there is definitively only one HDMI port and nothing else. So now this is only a 3 star product. It does give the quality and frames it promised however, which is good.

Totally met exepectations
I just wanted to use my DSLR as a webcam, get a nice depth of field with an f2.8 lens, a good image quality combined with the control of using an SLR (as a webcam) when most people are using a potato to online chat/conference/work! The comparable CAMLINK product is £100+, but this was pennies. It delivers on every level. It's stable and consistent, and it hasn't failed me once yet in 100+ hours of Zoom'ing. It was plug and play (on a mac) and required no technical know-how at all to make it work. One minor point is that there is a minuscule bit of latency, but it is nowhere near enough to worry about. Lastly, make sure you buy a suitable HDMI cable to connect your DSLR/cam to this device. An awesome bit of kit and something I would highly recommend. Well done, China.

The device worked right off the box. Sound quality was great. The blue light was too bright. I had to cover it with duct seal. Nice that you can convert digital to analog.

No videos and audio lag, working good no 4k support and fps is locked at 30 it doesn't support 60fps, good for cam recording and game recording and streaming. Quality is also good clarity good. Difference between this and elgato is 60fps with hdr etc support.

Totalmente recomendado.
