Quality Toffee Liquorice Memories!
Purchased end of September 2020, and the product is Best Before March 2023. I don't think it will last that long, but off to a great start.Checked the base as pictured and HDPE is safe plastic for anyone who has BPA free concerns. If the plastic is not transparent, it is usually safe.Poured some onto a plate to show the colour. It is slightly darker in colour than a local UK store bought. And not as sugary sweet. Store bought UK tastes diluted and sweet like condensed milk, which THIS product has a slight molasses sour flavour and is slightly thicker although still very funny to pour. While the other has a Kinder chocolate sweetness to it, THIS has a strong toffee flavour, which takes me back to a liquorice toffee my grandfather would buy when I was younger. It took me a while to recognise the memory, such a unique taste and I Love it. I can imagine it being great on pancakes and in some rich dessert recipes.I just compared it to another Maple Syrup a friend bought back from Canada, not dark, and that is sickly sweet in comparison. THIS is certainly much richer and fuller in flavour. That said, I live in the UK and have limited tasting experience, but hope this review helps.

It's certainly not bad, but the taste is more sugar than maple, and the price is higher than the Kirkland option which tastes better. The point of "very dark" syrup is that it should have a stronger taste of maple, and this one really doesn't. I really do not see myself buying this again.
