User friendly reef tank dosing product.
I became curious and wanted to educate myself about dosing a reef tank. I came across this product as I was learning about the science behind dosing a reef tank with calcium, alkalinity, magnesium & other trace elements that corals need for coloration growth & health. Dosing can be a very daunting task and become very complicated quickly. This product simplifies dosing your reef tank. Instead of adding individual calcium, alkalinity, magnesium & trace elements manually or automated dosing pumps you only need one product to dose. I am currently in my very first week of using the product. My baseline Alkalinity was 8.6 dKH. I am dosing 7.5mL for a 38 gallon reef tank the first week. After one week I will test my Alkalinity level again. If my reading is still low it is recommended to increase the dosage by another 2.5mL of product. My new dosage will be 10.0mL. Then continue adding 10mL for one more week and retest Alkalinity dKH parameter. Continue to increase by 2.5mL until you achieve the desired Alkalinity parameter. The bottle recommends a dKH range of 7-9. I am following Red Seas recommended parameters for my reef tank with there reef pro salt mix for coloration and growth. According to Red Seas recipe they recommend a dKH range of 7 - 12. I plan on maintaining a dosing amount of all for reef once my parameters are where Red Sea recommends the rest of the parameters to be such as calcium & magnesium, ect to be. My best guess is that I will be dosing about 12.5mL's to maintain the parameters for a full month then as the corals grow and add new corals to my reef, I will need to make minor adjustments later on.I am adding the product via syringe daily. In the near future I will look into an automated dosing pump to increase stability of my Reef system by adding the precise daily amount throughout the day a little at a time. I am amazed at how much technology has changed in our hobby over the past couple decades. It's been over twenty years since I had my last reef tank.

Good way to test out the product for your reef tank. The mix your own is the best deal by far.
A bit pricey per milliliter; but, if you aren't ready to buy the big make your own kit this is the way to go to try out the product. The mix your own is by far the best price option though. What I love about the product is you only have one thing to dose, which means less equipment to buy or break. I use in my gravity fed auto top off so don't even need a dosing pump.

Questionable
I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and have noticed no difference. I'll keep using it to see if there is any change. If so, I'll upgrade my review.
