Great composting worms
Worms are currently thriving. As stated in the instructions, it may take them approximately 48 hours to adjust. Only a small few have tried to escape since they arrived a few weeks ago. They're great composting worms.

Healthy, wiggling worms!
I ordered 100 worms, and a bag of worm food to add to my new raised beds. I have large raised beds (4'x8'x2')for vegetable gardening, and am putting a lot of money into them to insure they have good soil, and worms. The worms arrived in great condition. I added them to my raised bed right away, and added 1/2 C. water as instructed. I covered them with soil and mixed a little of the worm food in, and covered all with chopped straw. I check on them every few days, and add more worm food (because I have it), and they love it! They have grown rapidly, and are in great shape. I will be ordering more worms from Uncle Jim!

Great customer service and worms
I ordered these guys for my terrarium but wanted to make sure they survived transit before adding them. So I set up a small glass tank to put them in the first 48 hours so I could easily check non theor progress. The worms arrived on a day I was home so I was able to bring them in right away. They looked very small but were moving a little. The instruction card did say they would appear that way due to transportation. I put them in my moist and humid hold tank and poured the cup of water on them as directed. I then put some food along the side of the tank for them. The next day no food was gone and there were still some worms sitting on top of the dirt. I gave it a few more hours and checked again at the end of the day and no changes. I dug through the tank and they were dead. I reached out to customer service to see if I did something wrong and they said it could have been transport and sent me a new bag of worms. The new ones arrived looking much better already. They were still a little plump and were moving a lot! Put them in a fresh holding tank like before and all the worms ate some food within 24 hours. No dead worms this time! After 48 hours, I added them to my terrarium jungle. They have been eating the food, although now it is impossible to catch a glimpse of them (they hide so fast when any light comes on it os kind of funny). I have seen one along the terrarium edge (it's all glass) but for just a bshort time and it was gone again. Happy to have these guys on cleanup crew and nourishing my soil for all the thriving plants! I would definitely recommend this company and these worms!

Bummed Out
I paid extra for the worms to arrive on Monday, they arrived Tuesday. They were in a big gloopy ball in the middle of the soil (which was a lot drier than I expected) and were a weird whitish color. I couldn’t find any that were moving apart from one that was red. I added them, when I received them, to the environment I prepared and hoped they would do the bouncing back that’s expected. When I checked on them today (Wednesday afternoon) they are still motionless in the big gloopy ball. Unfortunately in my experience, they’re a bummer.

Not just red wigglers
First things first this is my first adventures in buying worms online. So excuse me if the review isn’t super detailed. I bough two separate orders. I ordered one first and then realized I might need more worms to fill my bin and ordered another box the next day. 1. Packaging was great. Came in two days shipped by FedEx. Both came at the same time despite two different order dates. It looks nothing like this box in the photo. They came in their own separate black fabric bags in FedEx boxes with holes punched in them. The worms came in what look like coconut coir. With inductions with a discount for next purchase as well as and FAQ and how to probably rehabilitate your worms after shipping. 2. They were all alive and squirming :) 3. Appeared to be the correct anoint of worms per bag so I don’t think I got cheated in any way 4. Now this item is 100 count ~*MIX*~ of worms. I thought I would get only red wigglers because the image shows a box that says “Red wigglers live from uncle Jim’s worm farm”. Now maybe I did get a few, but it appears like I mostly got blue worms. Still composting worms, but all my research and for my climate I would have preferred red wigglers as they are apparently more forgiving in care. 5. They’re were a few mites (red, white, brown ones) here and there in the coir. Not a huge deal, but as a newbie I would prefer no mites because I don’t know all the ins and out of dealing with them. Over all I’m satisfied. I contacted the company through the their website and they offered me a small discount for the confusion of the type of worms I bought(super kind of them) and links on controlling mites. Here’s their response to the issue on the worm mix: “Our worm mix does contain Perionyx Excavatus, which is also called the Blue Worm. We do not have control over the mix and what worms dominate it in each batch. The worms are all in the beds together. Sometimes is it more of the other species.” Over all I’m happy! I didn’t get a bag of dead worms and got fast responses from customer service. Just be aware that if you want one type of species of worm this grab bag isn’t for you.

Made it right
All of the worms were dead. Do not purchase as you cannot get a refund when they come like this. Update: They were great and sent another batch which we got and they were alive so updated my review, thank you all.
