Train Mailbox Post Mount

This does require assembly, as another mentioned. It was not difficult though, and neither of us are good with assembly. Everything needed was included. We went by the photo to put it together. The front top screw did come off, so make sure to tighten the screws well. We've had it now several months without any other problems. It is nice being metal, which for us has eliminated the wasp problems we had with our previous wooden mailbox. It opens and closes well, and is roomy inside which is nice for some smaller Amazon packages that go through the USPS.It is a little pricey, but well worth it. We figure it will last a long time. Even our mailwoman commented that she loved it and had not seen on like it before, along with quite a few neighbors.

When you receive the box it looks like a regular mailbox. Once you add on the train decor it is absolutely fantastic and as advertised. It is a very fun mailbox. Downside is that I did not receive all the nuts and bolts to assemble the box but fortunately I had nuts and bolts to finish the mailbox. You will not regret this purchase it will put a smile on your face as well as your mail person.

Overall I kind of like the mailbox. My only complaint is that the windows and the striping are all tape. I noticed this when I first took the product out of the box so I over sprayed the train with a heavy coat of clear plastic. Well, my worst fears are confirmed. Yesterday (after about two or three weeks) I noticed that the tape was beginning to peel.

The wooden pieces were packaged together while the paint was still wet, so when you go to put it together, the paint is chipped. It is a cool idem but not worth $200.00. The mailbox is from Home Depot for $20 and the train décor is cute, but it is particleboard with stickers. If you put this outside it will NOT last the weather, this is made for a shelf. I got this as a gift and was a little embarrass of the quality.
