Good for the price
I got this for $35 for a pack of 24 boxes. Each box contains 2 pouches and each pouch makes two large (2 cup) serving of soup. So basically, if you half the pouches, you are paying for 96 (24 x 2 x 2) servings, which is not a bad deal at all. Compared to the Sun-Bird brand egg drop soup mix, it is a little harder to mix (harder to get the clumps out), and a little less flavorful in my opinion, but you get more than twice for the price (the cheapest I found Sun-Bird is 48 servings for $45). To help with the flavor, I stir in a little soy sauce, and chives. It tastes good. The instructions on the box are odd. It says to add noodles (I've never heard of adding noodles to egg drop soup), and then continue to simmer it after adding the egg, but you shouldn't need to do any more than just bring it to a boil, stir in the egg, turn off the heat and let it cool. The egg is done enough by then.

Yuck....not even close, and way over priced too
Expensive water with a yellow essence. I made this at double strength to see if it had any flavor. None. Not enough flavor, not enough thickness...just not good. Save your money and get corn starch. an egg and chicken stock and make your own. The other brand that's advertised on Amazon...Ty Ling, is better if you can over come the onion power, which I cannot. I will have to use the case of each that I've purchased to augment turkey gravy this Thanksgiving...but neither are close to restaurant egg drop soup that I've had and sadly will continue to quest for.I would have given this a 0 stars if allowed, so much was my disappointment on this product.

Easy, Quick and Tasty
This soup is easy to make. Eassy to follow directions. So many egg drop soups are glutenous, not so with this soup. I like to add a few drop of dark sesame oil and chopped green onion (just before serving). Great soup for lunch. Kids love it. You could add angel hair pasta.Good flavor. Areal pleaser. I'm giving it as a Christmas present to those who have everything. Try it and enjoy.Anne from Sunny FL

Great Taste ! High Sodium !!
This is as tasty or even better (if prepared correctly) than the offerings at some Asian restaurants. One caveat, if you are so concerned, is the high sodium complement of the recipe. It would be great if Croyden also offered this soup in a reduced-sodium version. Additionally, it does contain MSG.

Just like in China
I have spent many months in China since 1980. Your egg drop soup tastes just as good as the "real thing grom Beijing"!
