As a cordcutter do own streaming with Blackberry Classic Smartphone as my hotspot for internet and tv I use ATT TV service with app on my Roku. This little gadget is my internet connection for all services installed on my HP desktop.Has own WIFI app and if I remember comes with installation disk. Purchased another one and so happy with it - came w/installation disk. Have friend who became a cordcutter and to help him out gave him my other connector and kept this one - both are OurLink branded and manufactured by RealTek and reasonably priced -lovit.

So far this device has done what it is suppose to do. I see some complaints about it not connecting to the 5.8 ghtz but it not only detected mine but also connected to it as well. Didn't need to update drivers as it had everything on the disk. Was able to set up Windows 10, and a few other things I needed on my desktop. So in my opinion it works great for the price you pay.

This item is as described. It does pick up the AC band with ~600+mbps. Real word testing is pretty good. Not as fast as some of the "higher" bandwidth USB adopters but for this price, it is a good buy. It is not 5 stars because it is not plug and play as I would like. Even among the Windows 10 machines, I have 2 that just picked it up and some that need to stick in their driver. I think the 2 that picked it up has previously installed with other USB wifi adopters. As for Linux, I tried with Mint and Elementary.. both did "see" it; so manual add. As for Mac, I will try to see if it will be picked up automatically... I just upgraded to Sierra so, even if it did not pick up, I wouldn't know if it is due to the upgrade or it is not Mac friendly. I bought 3 of these to replace some hack Powerline, wifi repeater type coverage. It appears to replace those endpoints satisfactory.

i bought this out of need. i now have bought several to take over some of the more outdated wifi adapter around my household electronics. they are pretty good in maintaining connection and their range is good at a tested 30 + feet.they are a pretty good overall product for the money. i have tried many products and this one sold me.

Company lies about Linux support. You can't even tell what the product is, from the phony documentation that comes with it. It is a joke,a nd it goes back, setting me back a week in getting hooked up properly on the net. People, please stop reviewing this kind of crap 5 stars!By the way, I have 30 years of computer experience as a programmer, so I probably know what I am doing. If you think you can do better, you try this fraudulent product.

Not strong enough to received wireless router signal.

I'm using windows 10 on a i5 dell laptop. My wifi conked out on me and would no longer recognize my home network. I purchased this little gizmo after reading some reviews. the price was right and the reviews were good. While the user interface was a little difficult to understand and the instruction manual was printed in nearly microscopic print. I figured it out and get it working and WOW. Its blazing fast. Way faster then the original wifi that came with the laptop. Faster then plugging a chord direly int my computer in fact. A great buy. the seller checked on my satisfaction twice which was nice as well.
