A great value!
Glad I bought this before it went out of stock. Hopefully for others, more will become available. Bought it as a backup for a couple of other very expensive hi-end phono stages that I own and for the possibility of recording some albums to CD via the USB connection. Preferred this phono box to others that Pro-ject makes because of the separate line input, gain adjustment and on-off switch. The phono box is tiny. So, it can be put virtually anywhere near the turntable. It's sitting under the isolation rack that my TT sits on. Extremely easy to hookup and the sound from this phono box is pretty amazing. Surprised the heck out of me. Excellent midrange and no loss of bass detail. Some high frequency shrillness that went away after playing just a few records. Assume it will continue to sound better as it breaks it. An outstanding mini-phono stage for just $199 -- a fraction of the cost of the other phono stages that I own. Well worth the price!!!

The sound quality is excellent for a preamp in this price range
I purchased this to replace a Rega Mini A2D. The Rega after only 3 yrs was introducing a high pitch electronic noise to all of the recorded albums. I use Vinyl Studio for my recording and it could not clean up the extra noise created my the Rega. I tried this one immediately and in the quiet spots on the album that is exactly what I hear, nothing. The sound quality is excellent for a preamp in this price range, much better then the Rega. I have only recorded and listened to about 12 albums so far but an happy with the sound and the recording I am getting. I would not recommend the Rega Mina A2D. For the extra $25 I am much happier with this unit.

Just happy. Great unit
Last year I purchased vacuum tube Pro-Ject phono preamp from Amazon and its nocked my socks off - connected with McIntosh set pream & two monoblocks, and B&W speakers. This year I pulled from the storage ancient Technics SL-L92 direct drive linear tracking TT, replaced old cartridge with Grado Black for $75 and bought this unit. All connected to the very old but working from storage B&K Components preamp & power amp units through Wharfedale - Diamond 250 (Black) speakers. Just happy. Great unit.

Sweet Device
This is a great little device! Using this (with the Audacity Audio Editor) it's very easy to digitize tracks from my old vinyl record collection. Lotsa help online so the learning curve is pretty short. The hardware itself feels quite solid/well built.I've only gone through a couple albums so far but the results sound very good. I also have the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable, so I'm quite happy to find a quality pre-amp by the same manufacturer.

Glad to Upgrade from the standard USB Box.
I tried the regular Phono Box USB (without gain control), and that just wouldn’t work for making quality vinyl recording. So far, this unit works like a charm!

Great pre amplifier the sounds that came from this little box is amazing. However, when not playing anything, the hum noise is really high.

Solid unit
This is a solid unit, built to last. This offered the flexibility of using any cartridge.Much better sound quality than the thin-sounding built-in I had been using.

Great
Works as advertised, easy to hook-up. Finding the hardest part of using it to digitize vinyl is finding software I like.
