A little disappointed
I was really hoping that the time display would stay backlit so I was pretty bummed when I discovered it does not. You can press a button to light it up, but it turns off after a few seconds. So you cannot read the time in the dark unless you are close enough to find and tap the time button. It seems to be impossible to find a digital clock for kids that can be seen in the dark. "The clock projection will automatically shut off after 2 minutes of inactivity if using battery power(8 hours if using AC Adapter)" So there is the projection option, but currently I don't have an adapter to get it to last more than 2 minutes which is the second disappointment. Despite reviews saying that an AC adapter was included, mine did not come with one. Looking at the product description closer, it does in fact say AC adapter not included. So yes, it's my fault for not reading closer, but there's obviously some inconsistency with the product when others received the adapter just a month earlier than me. So once I find an adapter it will project the time for 30 minutes which is better than 2 minutes. The images that the clock displays are a bit random as well. There is a butterfly, a flower, a heart, and stars. The stars make sense and will no doubt be what my son chooses. Not sure why the other images were chosen for this clock. It is "R2D2-ish" and the arms move. I'm sure my son will like it. I can't really comment on the durability as I just got it. It seems like a good little clock, but would have been great if the time was readable in the dark.

Cheaply made
My son loves robots, and out of all the robot clocks we saw this is the one he picked and was super excited. Two days after we bought it the number projection side stopped working...not to mention the fact that nothing stayed lit for more than a few minutes without the cord (which, of course, has to be bought separately). The clock must also be turned around backwards to be able to see the time, when the projection actually did work, from across the room. I’m also trying to figure out why it’s has images of flowers and butterflies when it’s a robot toy, and most likely going to be given to a boy. You can turn the knobs/eyes to focus but it’s still not the best and cant be to far from the wall. The front display does not stay lit even with the cord. The alarm can be turned off completely but it’s way more complicated then it needs to be. It’s something like click alarm button and hold down the up arrow until it beeps or something like that. It was in the instructions. The arms move and it’s cute. Ours still works, minus the clock projection. Overall, I wouldn’t waste my money on it.

Cool little Projection Robot-o!
When I looked around for good fun alarm clocks for our son last Christmas surprisingly there weren't a whole lot of choices, especially any that have the projection feature - most all just standard looking alarm clocks - boorrring. So when I found this one I was super happy he can unwrap something fun for a little boy (there's even projection patterns girls may like such as butterflies and flowers) even better the price is very reasonable! But neatest design of this clock is they built the projection into adjustable eyes of the robot (one for a pattern like stars for example and other for the current time, can toggle them on/off and adjust focus of the projection) which means even if he's on a lower shelf of a head board the projection can still be lit on the ceiling at an angle, super in my case! The digital time display is not very big but assuming it would usually be next to a kid's bed it's fine, probably similar in size to the Lego alarm clocks. Back to the projection feature, the robot alarm clock overall runs fine on batteries but in order to keep projection on for 8 hours (I believe this is the max time) the robot must be using a power supply adapter or it only stays on for about 2 mins. I've read in a review the power adapter may come with the robot but mine did not and was even listed in the manual as an optional accessory. So bear in mind if this is still the case as of this writing you may have to spend another $5-10 to purchase an adapter. I did also find ikingstar to have great Customer Service in responding to email questions about the power adapter size they identified as "positive tip, 0.5mm x 0.5mm with output 5v 500mAh ac adapter" to make sure I purchase the correct one. Hope this helps...

What a cute kids alarm clock and projector!!
The media could not be loaded. What a wonderful Alarm clock and Robot projector! A must have if you have young childern or grandchildren. I got this for my 7yr old grandson and he is totally in love with his Alarm clock Robot! What a wonderful clock and night light to help our childern to have a nice image before sleeping. The Robot clock comes with easy instruction to help setup the alarm clock, time, date and year. It has four images ( stars and moon, heart and purple daisy to choose from to project off the wall or ceiling. You can also project only the time and or both. The Robot stands 7 inches tall, its made of plastic, the clock frame has the glow green and LED numbers are digital, you have the option to set your time to Military or standard. This is not a toy but an alarm clock to set on nightstand. It has movable arms, the eyes projects the three images and you can turn the eyes to help focus a better picture image, the eyes can move up to ceiling or straight for walls. It comes with and operates on 3- AAA batteries and comes with its own small screw driver. Great for girl or boy to have!!!Disclaimer: Recieved this product free for my sincere honest assessment and my opinion based on my experience with this product.
