29892 Soft Open-Cell Foam Roll & Pad, 1/8" Height, 6" Width, 72" Length

This foam is an excellent upgrade for automotive blend doors. It is cloth reinforced on the sticky side so it is super strong and resistant to tearing, the sticky side is super sticky, just like the original! It contours to uneven surfaces perfectly. The foam has a great durometer and has smaller cells than the factory blend door foam, so it seals better.

The product has a sticky side with paper backing that is not advertised. For my purposes I do not want a sticky side.

I was looking for plain foam and this item was described as soft, open cell foam & pad. I did not realize that the foam had a coating on the product, which is probably why it said pad in the description. However, uncoated foam could also be called a pad. Anyhow, the product was too stiff for my purposes. Note that there was nothing wrong with this product, it just did not work for me.

After a ton of digging looking for replacement foam for redoing my trucks HVAC box blend doors I came upon this and it's exactly what you're looking for if you want to redo the foam on your blend doors

While the foam may be "Open Cell Foam" the product as delivered is not. Air can not get through the surface that the product is made from. Open Cell should allow for air and fluid transfer, this does not.

This roll of open celled foam had a layer of adhesive that was not mentioned in the description. What I was going to use it for required it to NOT have adhesive on one side, so I ordered this as opposed to any other listings. When this arrived, it had adhesive on one side that was not mentioned clearly in the listing. I am currently awaiting a refund.

Had to rebuild the heater box in my E36 and this worked great to re-cover the doors where the original foam had broke down and colapsed.
