Solid feeling lock, reads fingerprints well, no written manual
This is my second fingerprint type lock and i absolutely love the ability to not have to carry keys. My previous fingerprint lock was almost 10 years old so it was early technology and I can tell that this one reads fingerprints very quickly and accurately, my old lock sometime required several tries. This lock feels very solid in it's construction. Installation was moderately difficult. Mine did not come with a written manual, not sure if they do not have one anymore or if it was just missing. They do have the manual online though. But after a bit of trial and error I was able to get it installed properly in about a couple hours. With my previous lock you could only delete users sequentially from most recent to oldest. This one lets you delete any user individually though it requires a very specific button sequence that requires referencing a sheet of instructions.

Security made easy!
My family is ecstatic over this little toy! No more keys to get in from the garage, totally programmable for each person. REcommend programming at least one digit on each hand of each person. That way if one hand is "full" you can unlock your door with the other one.

Biggest piece of expensive junk I have ever bought
This lock is the hardest to install, setup and the instructions are not written well at all. The issue with the first lock I bought was it erased all fingerprints after a while. They sent me another which was kind of them, now this one only holds the admin fingerprint and will not save anyone else. Not to mention, my wife has to attempt twice for the lock to unlock the door. Not worth the $$$, I am going to change to a Kwikset combination lock for $100 and put this one in the box in the closet to sit there till I decide it it time to send it to the scrap yard.

I would not recommend these locks as they are hard to get to work and burn through batteries quickly I ended up removing it.

Works & looks great; after a few hurdles setting it up...
Bottom line is, once you get this installed and working, it works well as advertised, and looks great....that being said, it was a hassle for me to get it working properly. The good news is they've got an unusually helpful and patient tech support line (based on Florida I think), who seemed genuinely interested in helping me resolve my problems.(And the box it comes in is very nicely packaged, so it seems like a high quality presentation.)My first (and biggest) problem was due to the fact that my door had the large (pre-drilled) hole in the farther of the two standard positions from the edge of the door (I think it was 2 3/4" inches instead of 2 5/8" if I remember correctly). This should NOT have been a problem though, since they include an adjustable deadbolt that is meant to accommodate either the closer distance or the farther distance. (And the template they include for drilling your door also gives measurements for either size.) However, after much time on the phone and much additional drilling in my door to make sure the holes were definitely big enough, the problem turned out to be solved when they sent me (for free) a replacement deadbolt that was made to be that longer size, rather than using the adjustable one that came with it. (Basically, the problem I had was the deadbolt would open, but it wouldn't close because (I'm told) the photo sensor in the mechanism couldn't see that it was done moving.) So it works now, but I can never put a different lock on this door, without revealing the hack job I did in drilling the holes bigger and bigger...The other problem I had was registering fingerprints. Maybe we're slow, but for some reason my wife and I couldn't get it to work using the instructions in the manual. (Seriously - we're two college educated adults, who spent 30 minutes messing with it. WTF?) I ended up getting it working fine in a few seconds by following along with the video instead (it comes with an instructional DVD, and the videos are on their web site too).So now it works great, and is a great conversation piece. Everyone is very impressed by our biometric lock! :)So I recommend it - just don't expect this to be a standard 10 minute installation, like you would expect from a typical deadbolt. Set aside an afternoon (or two) just in case... (Then again, maybe you'll have an easier time/door then I did!)P.S. If you have a thinner than average door, you'll have a harder time getting it working well than if you have a thicker door, due to the long cable that you have to connect from one side of the door to the other. You have to stick all that slack somewhere! If your door is thin you'll have nowhere for the cable to go, so it'll get in the way of the mechanism. This happened to me a few times with the "average" thickness door I was using, but I kept tinkering with how I had it jammed in the hole until it worked smoothly.

Best lock I've ever own
No more fumbling for keys, just open and scan. This is by far the best lock i've own and used.Yes installation is a PITA i'll give you that, but it is well worth it. I wouldn't attempt installing yourself if you are not too handy though, if changing a light bulb means DIY reno, you might want to hire someone for this ;)The product is great and does what it says, most of the time first read it opens, but it sometimes miss but that's not very often. My 5 year old can use it too and she loves it, she the one getting the most miss probably due to her smaller fingers.Services and warranty is also great and its harder to find nowaday. My first unit failed during the 1st week, I called support, tried couple steps on the phone and it didn't work, sent it back, got replacement and i've been using it without issues for 2 years now. I own some appartment and i will definitely be upgrading to this for all of them. No more lost keys or tenants that lock themselves out.Great products with a company that stands behind it and that will honor its words and go the extra steps. I don't lightly give 5 stars rating, but I was impress with this.
