Works great!
This was very easy to install; removed the old socket and replaced with this one, making it much easier to turn on by pulling the chain instead of trying to find the tiny little knob in the dark.

Little cheap but works
Used this to repair a vintage lamp my wife found at an estate sale. Worked well but can't be taken apart.

Read the instructions
I had to take it apart and reassemble it a couple of times. There are some instructions on how to snap it together without the insulation sliding out of position and keeping all the tabs from engaging. Then there was getting the correct wire on the correct screw terminal. The first thing you want is the center terminal, where the center light bulb terminal goes, to be hot and not the threaded sleeve. The second thing you want is to have the switch cut power to the "hot" terminal instead of the "neutral" wire leaving one of the terminals hot. "Hot" meaning if you put your finger on this one and find a "ground" like metal water pipes, handle of the fridge, wet basement floor, that you will get a nasty shock. I also found out that my more modern lamp cord does not have a silver and a gold colored wire to help identify which will be hot. There is a slight rib on one side of the insulation. "Ribbed, grooved or striped side is grounded (neutral), smooth side is ungrounded (hot). Silver conductor is grounded (neutral), copper conductor is ungrounded (hot)." If in doubt, check for continuity, with a meter between the small terminal of the polarized plug to the end of the wire that goes to the hot terminal on the socket (center terminal for the light bulb, the switched terminal.) So, it is large blade of the polarized plug to the wire with ribbed insulation to the sleeve terminal of the socket.

Great product.
Easy to install and brought my lamps back to life. Kept me from having to replace two expensive lamps that I love.
User
functional but unattractive
I was shopping for one that was a little classier, with a ball pull on the chain, as I have on a couple lamps. The "ball" is easier to grab than this cheaper thingee.
User
it works perfectly!
This is easy to install & a perfect replacement for our old lamp.
User
Awesome!
Took us about 10 minutes to replace the old lamp socket. The instructions were great and it works well.

no es de muy buena calidad
Decidí no instalarlo pues la calidad no refleja seguridad
