Works Fine
This knee cart works sufficient to say I would purchase again. Although I am sure the higher priced models have features I would like, this model is priced so reasonable it is worth it. Brakes on each side would be helpful; this model has only one brake. Having a brake on each side means no matter what side you are on you can reach the brake for getting up and down. I did find an excellent way to get up…position the cart so it is cross-ways in front of you. Hang your bad foot/leg over the side of the seat then use your good leg to push up while also using the handlebars for pushing with your arms. If you try to get up with your bad leg just dangling off to the side it is much harder to get up.

Needs better breaks
Bought this for my mom but I don't think the break locks in place to hold the walker in place while you get on and off it... Just doesn't seem safe.... Maybe I'm missing something or just don't know how to lock the break in place... Any suggestions or help in this matter?

Cheaper than renting
This is the only way my doctor would allow me to go back to teaching after foot surgery. It cost $140 plus return shipping to rent one from the brochure she gave me - and that was just a monthly rental fee. I've had it for 6 weeks, so I've already saved money, and it would still look like new if it hadn't snowed in Chicagoland this week and gotten the tires a little salty. I found it so easy and stable to use indoors; outdoors, curb cuts, sidewalks, doormats, and asphalt make the ride feel much less stable. It's not for cross-country but to get around in buildings. I did not need it in the house, so I can't speak to its use on carpets. The pad is decent, although I think I've had a tender spot where my shin hits the edge for the last 6 weeks. The basket does fall off if I try to sling my purse over the handlebars and it pushes on the basket, but it is useful; I just Christmas shopped at a mall and it held small purchases, coupons, and my list as well as a water bottle. I've got a little red bow on the front for Christmas! It draws stares, comments, and questions wherever I go, and my students all want to take it for a spin.It doesn't have a great turning radius, but at least it does turn. The first day or two I didn't realize that if I angled the handlebars as I folded them back, they would slide under the knee pad and it would take up less room. I drive a Hyundai Veloster (red and black, so my scooter matches) and it has a very small trunk, but this fits just fine. I highly recommend this product.

The brake system does not lock in, it is dangerous for a person with an injured extremity to manipulate it properly. I was not aware that the unit can not be fold for transportation. All these details should be made absolutely clear to potential users. Knee walker
I broke my ankle and need to be off of it completely for 4 to 6 weeks. My crutches are awkward to use and really limit my ability to move around my home. There was not a knee walker available to rent locally so I bought this one. It has really increased my mobility and the basket lets me carry things that I otherwise cannot. The price was at least $20.00 less than others with free shipping. The only thing that is a negative is the strong rubber smell from the wheels. Hopefully that will go away soon.

Dont like it
Scooter was pretty heavy @25 LBS, could not get the seat low enough for my height was on my tip toes to move it and did not corner or turn very well. Returned this scooter for refund.Have rented another scooter last year which turned really well.

No more crutches
I purchased the Knee Walker to replace my crutches and I'm so glad I did. Great product, well constructed, easy to use and travels well in vehicle! Easy to fold up for travel in vehicle or as whole for in SUV. Love the basket, which is removable, great for purse or other items you may need to carry, which crutches do not have. Knee Walker works great on flats and gravel but would recommand the all terrian wheeled one if you have more gravel or rough terrian to deal with. The steering has a short turning radius which makes turning tight a little rough, you have to backup and go forward a couple times, not a big problem.Pros: No more arm pit rash or soreness, no more hand/wrist soreness.Cons: Steps, haven't figured out how to use on steps. Not recommanded if you have steps to deal with but great for flats and ramps. No cup holder (which crutches don't either), I purchased one and installed and works great.Overall I would recommand this product to anyone that has to deal with crutches.

Does the job at a reasonable price
I contacted several medical rental locations that wanted the same amount for renting a scooter similar to this for 2 weeks as it was to simply purchase this one. This is a basic model that requires some assembly, but it does a proper job of adjusting in height to meet different needs. A unit like this could easily be shared with a neighbor or family member in the future and I know that it will be as useful to them as it was to my mother-in-law when she broke her foot.
