what is the URL to get the drivers?

Typing the url is bothersome, just Google the frescologic part and it is the first result on Google. From there you can navigate the page to the driver you need and download that. The driver on the disk is outdated at this point.

can i use this if im alrady using my hdmi port

I am running Windows 8.1 on my laptop and I am not able to use this adapter and connect an additional monitor via the HDMI port. It locks up my PC. It is one or the other. On my Windows 10 laptop, I have no problems running both monitors (one with the adapter and one via HDMI).

Can more than one of these be used to extend display across multiple monitors?

I believe it is possible. In my notebook, I am using a VAVA USB-C Hub with HDMI-Adapter to extend to a monitor and this USB to HDMI Adapter to extend to another monitor. The system works great this way. I believe you will not have a problem if you use more than one but I am not an expert.

Has anyone had trouble getting 1920x1080 out of this adapter? i bought one and can't get higher than 1440x900, connected to usb 3.
