Dutch for Beginners: The Best Handbook for Learning to Speak Dutch! Paperback – April 3, 2015

The worst spent 99 cents ever! This is a completely worthless booklet. It only "teaches" approximately 70 words in Dutch and is utterly confused about the language it is supposed to be about. In the first chapter the author claims: "About sixteen million people in Denmark and six million more in Flanders speak the Dutch language." (Population of Denmark: 5.6 million; official language: Danish). In the "Conclusion," the author hopes that "this book was able to help you to take the first few steps in learning to speak Greek." And in between, the author is trying to convince the reader of the importance of learning foreign languages, such as Dutch... the reason why I bought this booklet WAS to learn some Dutch, I did not need to be convinced that it is useful. PLEASE, do not purchase this!

Interesting and useful book! I don't know anything about Dutch and was curious about it. This was the perfect book for me. It wasn't so much about how to speak dutch, but why to learn and lots of tips and advice. I thought the chapter on common mistakes was especially useful. I recommend this as a great book for beginners!

This is a great book for beginners starting to learn Dutch. It prepares you with the basic words and phrases to learn and tips. My sister is going over to Europe and I will definitely be sharing this book with her just so she can learn the phrases and get a basic understanding of the language.

If you are beginning to learn the Dutch language, then this is a good book to use as a companion to your learning. The book discusses various basic techniques to learn Dutch, along with some tips and tricks to accelerate your learning. I also enjoyed the chapter on common mistakes to avoid in learning Dutch, which I think can be applied to other languages as well. Like I said previously, this is good book to use as a companion to you Dutch learning experience. If you are a beginner, this book is for you.

Of course you won't be able to learn dutch in one sitting. But this book is a great way to start. I didn't know that Dutch is just easy to understand. There are a lot of similarities with the English language but it's a little harder to pronounce.

This book is a decent starter book for those looking to learn Dutch. If you're advanced and already speak moderate to fluent Dutch then you probably won't need this but for you beginners out there this is a great resource to have on hand.

Please save your money. DO NOT BUY THIS. It is a complete waste of money. The information in this book can be found FOR FREE online. It is less than 10 minutes of reading and the only real info is the numbers 1 to 10, days of the week, months of the year and one page of phrases. Definitely not worth the money. In my opinion it does not deserve that one star at all.

This book doesn't contain any grammar, and hardly any words... It's just a simple explanation on how Dutch compares to other languages and a general description on how the language works.If you want to learn to speak Dutch then go find another book... You won't learn it with this one.

Incorrect in fact and language! Spelling and language errors in a tutorial like this is incomprehensible.
