Good price need them for class.

A workbook, so don't expect any theory or explanations. Poorly edited. Some instructions and steps are missing, making it impossible to follow in spots (p43 step 7 and 8). Some layers have different names on the same page (p95 step 5), so you have to guess what is going on. Some times no output is generated from the instructions (p 65 step 15).Difficult to work through if you are on your own.

Great book and workbook

A GIS organization asked me to review this book early in 2016. The workbook consist of several exercises that appear to be well organized but not that applicable to real world uses of LiDAR in GIS. I tried several of the exercises and even more disappointed when every one I tried has some sort of issue that prevented me from completing the exercise. I submitted the issue to ESRI and they were determined to be bugs but nothing was done about the issues. I would avoid this book unless you enjoy learning by troubleshooting problems.

Outdated. Wait for the version that uses Pro. arcMap is going away via Esri dumping all their new features into pro
