Used as a cooling option only, but it gets colder than ice from just the fridge

I get terrible leg cramps at night. Upon a recommendation, I tried using snap-activated heat packs on my legs while watching TV at night before bed. I had a few small ones I got years ago, so I tried those. It totally worked. Ever since I started applying heat to my legs before bed, the night cramps totally disappeared. But my heating pads were really small, so I shopped for large ones and found these Hot Button ones. They were perfect. Large. Wrap around the legs nicely. Hold the heat for a good 30 minutes. BUT I bought a total of seven of them. Three of them burst/leaked gel out of them. I followed the use and boiling instructions exactly (use a towel in the water pot so they don't touch the sides, etc). I am very disappointed. The first one I returned had leaked with one day of use. The second one leaked within about a week (7 uses) The third one started leaking literally on Day 30 after I bought it (about 30 uses). Fortunately, I just snuck into the Amazon return window. So now I'm down to my last four. I won't be buying these Hot Button compresses again. I have several old snap-activated heat packs that have lasted years through countless use/reheat cycles. Not one of them has ever leaked. Three of seven of the Hot Button ones have failed. Why? What's notable is the outside of the Hot Button packs (like a silicone material) is noticeably thinner than my other ones. I believe the thinness simply can't withstand repeated use, and they end up leaking. It's hard to find LARGE snap-activated heat packs. I really wish these Hot Button ones were better. Maybe they'll come out with a 2.0 version someday. UPDATE Jun 19, 2024 The fourth pack failed last night. Started leaking. It's outside the 30 day return window. I'll contact the seller. It seems these are excellent heat packs .... but only for about 30 uses, then they fail. I have three of the original seven left. We'll see how long they'll last. UPDATE Jun 23, 2024 Another one started leaking. I'm down to two. UPDATE Jun 27, 2024 Another one started leaking last night. Now I'm down to ONE from the original SEVEN. UPDATE Jun 27, 2024 (part 2) Geez. Just last night the sixth one gave up the ghost. Now tonight, the last of the seven (*SEVEN*), too, started to leak. So, that's the last of my updates. I bought 7 of the Hot Buttons. All of them failed. All of them leaked. None lasted more than about 40 uses. Fortunately, three of them failed within Amazon's 30-day return policy. I had to eat the cost of the last four because they failed after 30 days.

Love it! I use it for when I am out. I have more than one bad chronic pain conditions and heat helps. It is convenient, stays hot for an hour and more affordable than the disposable ones. It is a bit heavy so it may not work well in all circumstances. But It works great for me, I am in a wheel chair, so i just put it in my back pack and hang it on the back of my chair.

The first time you use it, you have to activate it by flexing the seal. I’m returning it because I’m not sure how I would ever heat it up in a pot without the sides touching.

I love that this is easy to recharge, heats quickly and covers my upper shoulders. It doesn't seem to wear out, gives a lot of heat and is easy to take in a car - you will need a big pan and stove so no recharging in a hotel room. I do not love the stiffness, and I prefer the size of the lower back item, these flaps are not useful as they are to short. It s not bendy or flexible once activated, it does require clothing between you and the heat. I need to alternate heat and cold for my injury, this is a good solution to the hot part, very effective. It is sturdy, even after 24 uses still works quite well.

Wife love this. Loves watching crystals grow. Stays hot for 45 minutes. Used it at least 10 times.

I almost never leave Amazon reviews, but I felt like I had to for this one because I’m honestly shocked by how poor the quality is. I’ve bought four of these total on different occasions because I actually need this type of product for personal use. I’ve used other brands of snap-activated heat packs before, and they worked perfectly for me. The only reason I gave this brand a chance was because the other brands I used to buy were no longer easy to find, and these looked genuinely promising. At first glance, they seem like a great product: - nice design - good size - similar functionality to other heat packs - overall, they look much more premium than they actually are Unfortunately, the quality is terrible. The first two I bought already had major issues: one failed after the very first use the second lasted no more than about three uses The main problem is that after use, they would not reliably return to the liquid state. They would recrystallize improperly and stop functioning the way they’re supposed to. I thought maybe I had just received a bad batch, so I ordered two more. Both of those also failed after the first use. At that point it was obvious this was not bad luck, this is just a poorly made product. What frustrates me the most is that all four failed only days after the Amazon return/refund window had already passed, which means this ended up being money completely thrown away. If a product is going to fail this quickly, it should at least fail soon enough for customers to get their money back. These may look nice, but in my experience they are not durable, not reliable, and absolutely not worth the price. This is one of those products that gives a very good first impression, but the actual quality is just terrible. I would not buy these again.

Amazing! Gets hot quickly, stays hot for about 30 minutes. A bit of a pain to reset but thats all right. I have probably used it 10 times so far. Great for my tight shoulders.

Love this product. Heats up with snap of the little metal disk inside fairly quickly and lasts longer than I'd thought. Super easy to deactivate and ready for its next use. Highly recommend this item

I'm a Nurse Injector and this is amazing for my emergency kit. I need heat fast, this heats up in less than 20 seconds. I don't need longevity. I only received it today, lets see how it is going forward.

Work like a charm. Instant heat when you need it. These are a little bulky (heavy) to try to use under clothing. These are good to put under a blanket in a wagon for kids.

Se sont deja activés dans la poche, sinon correct, ca chauffe bien et se reforme dans l'eau bouillante. Une taille plus petite serait peut etre preferable
