These revived my beloved Astro A50 (gen2). Feels like a brand new headset. Will buy again, If needed.

These are not compatible with the Astro A50 without tearing the originals off and stretching this over them. would not recommend at all.

Looks nice, a little hard to put on headphones, but really comfy!

I absolutely love my Gen 2 A50's, however the OEM velvet padding had worn off and was starting to disintegrate. These were cheap so I figured why not buy them, install was a little tricky at first, but pretty easy once you have them oriented. The biggest thing for me was the sound. Maybe it was due to my old pads being so worn the headphones sat much closer to my head - but the new pads tend to have somewhat of a "V-shape" in their sound profile (powerful lows, muffled mids and powerful highs). However, considering the improvement in comfort and the fact the sound will change as the wear becomes more substantial, these are an EXCELLENT product to spruce up your A50's if you are still holding on to an older pair. TL;DR they won't fall apart and they are just as comfy as OEM.

They comfortable

These fit perfectly on my gen 2 Astro A50. They're just as hard to install as the oem ones that came off of my headset. I would practice taking off and putting on the original cushions just for practice if you decide to buy these. The cushions are thicker and larger than the original but just as comfortable (I've included a photo of another set of gen 2 A50s I have with the original cushions). They're also warmer and not quite as breathable (i got the velvet ones) as the original felt/cloth material that came on the headset originally. Despite that, my ears haven't felt too hot after multiple hours of use. The quality seems to be as good or better than the original cushions but only time will tell if they last as long. I was surprised at how nice they were when I first inspected them. If you've got a set of gen 2 A50s with old and nasty cushions, these are a great replacement. Astro doesn't produce original replacements anymore so these are a real lifesaver.
