Solid Copper Mugs Hammered Moscow Mule Mug (16 oz Edge)

Very attractive, and the mugs came with good, clear instructions on maintenance and upkeep; I also received several emails from the sellers with information on upkeep and history, and seem to have stopped after 2-3 as promised. I'm not so pretentious as to believe I can tell the difference in taste from a mule in this versus a glass, but this does have a dramatic appearance, and seems to remain cooler for a longer period. My only gripe is the bottom: it is a tad convex on both mugs I ordered, meaning that the mugs do not sit quite as securely on a surface as would be ideal. The curve is minor, though, so it's more an illusion of less stability.

After reading all the other reviews about how great this mug was, I decided to order it. The shipping was fast and the mug was really pretty when it arrived. However, after one use and washing and drying it by hand, the mug now has discoloration spots on it and one of them now leaks. It seems the leak is coming from the handle.

I have had this mug for over a year without leaks... it appears that some people receive ones that leak from the riveted handles and others don't, which sounds like poor quality control. That being said, mine arrived in perfect condition and has never leaked.I researched copper mugs for a while before purchasing this. This is a real Moscow Mule mug. The mug does not have a coating at all, unlike a lot of the so called Moscow Mule copper mugs out there. According to the reviews on them, the lining wears off while you are drinking from them over time... so you swallow it.. Other mugs that claim to be Moscow mule mugs like most I have seen in stores have a different metal lining, not copper, which defeats the purpose. If you want a mug just for looks that is always immaculate, but doesn't actually do what a Moscow Mule mug is supposed to do, then you might want to look elsewhere. If you want a mug that does what it is supposed to do, which is react with the ingredients and give you the real Moscow Mule flavor, than this is what you are looking for. For those of you that don't know, the acidic ingredients like the lime juice are supposed to interact with the natural copper, which leaches a few copper ions out of the metal and subtly alters the flavor. According to a lot of articles, this has healthy benefits. If you get a leaky one, exchange it. If the copper ages a little on the outside, you could look at it as added charm and it tells you it is actually copper without an artificial coating on it.

Looks like the photo however right out of the box mine leaked where the handle is attached to the mug, also the mug was tarnished in different spots. I would suggest something of higher quality.

I love these things! I got them for someone else as a gift, but luckily was there to try them out shortly after they were opened. Oddly enough, someone else got her a set of moscow mule mugs (I believe they were purchased from World Market or something) as well. I'm glad I went with these. The other mugs, which were not 100% copper and had a stainless lining on the inside, looked cheap and fake in comparison to these beasts. The moscow mules tasted fantastic out of these as well, but I can't comment much on that, since I know very little about what they "should" taste like.The big handle is a huge plus. I have somewhat girthy fingers which often results in frustration holding mugs and cups of all sorts and the handle on these was a sigh of relief. I could hold the mug comfortably without feeling like my fingers were being mashed.Great mugs. Would buy again.

I ordered 2 of these mugs. 1 of the mugs is just fine. The other one slowly leaks liquid until there is a puddle on the table. Unfortunately, this was not discovered until it was used, after the return window. Bummer because they are not cheap.

Was really excited for these to come in for my wife's Christmas gift but they are a disappointment.- dents and scratches on the bottom (they looked used already)-copper was already tarnished/oxidized in some areas inside and outside-poor craftsmanship with handles (loose and placement was very crooked)-did not come with the recipe book it said it would come with-the box it came in was old, dirty (really discolored white), and really beat up (looked like these were years old which explains the tarnish)Overall I'm very disappointed because I won't be able to give them to my wife for Christmas

I LOVE the look, and the feel and heft of these mugs. They are clean (unlined, uncoated), and I love drinking from them!! My only negative is that I filled one up and left it last night so I could drink copper-charged water this morning, and there is a leak at the bottom end of the handle. I bought two and haven't checked the other. A leaky cup is a sad thing... No amount of otherwise perfection can make up for it... Unless I drink fast!Quick update... Yes, the other mug leaks as well. It leaks quite a bit faster, too. Woe is me...Another update. I contacted their customer service, and the issue was taken care of with speed and generosity. I am very happy with the whole experience. And these great diamond hammered mugs!!!
