Great adapter—plug and play with no setup needed. Speed is excellent, reaching close to full 1Gbps, and the aluminum case feels solid and well made. Compact, reliable, and works perfectly with my devices. Highly recommended.

Works well to provide CAT5 (or 6/7) hardwire connection to my laptop that does not have a network cable port. I use it mostly when configuring a router, but handy anytime a hardwire connection is wanted. Well made, no muss no fuss connection. Having a USB C connection is a plus.

This was a godsend - I was having trouble accessing wifi. This allowed me to plug my MAC directing into my router. It arrived quickly and worked perfectly, and was easy to install.

I have my M4 MacBook Pro (Sequoia 15.7.3) connected to an Asus PA32QCV (FW version MCM102) with the Thunderbolt 4 cable that came with the monitor (1.5 m). Very nice setup. I bought the UGREEN USB C to Ethernet adapter to get off WiFi. I attached it to the monitor to have wired networking and still only a single cable going to my MacBook. This works, my MacBook recognized it as AX88179B, which is the name of the controller chip. (It works as well when directly plugged into the MacBook).

I've purchased Ugreen stuff before, so was expecting the USB-C to Ethernet adapter to be of similar high quality, and was not disappointed. I needed a way to check whether my occasional residential internet outages were the fault of my TP-Link Deco mesh network or my ISP, but didn't have a laptop to plug directly into the modem. I received the USB-C adapter the next day, and plugged it into my iPhone 16e after turning off its cellular data and WiFi. After connecting the iPhone to the main ethernet cable, Ookla Speedtest registered 330 Mbps on my supposedly 1Gps line. Quite likely this is the maximum one should expect from this configuration, and who knows about the quality of Ziply Fiber, but I deducted a star anyway because I was expecting double that. I await the next series of outages.

Found out my laptop did not come with ethernet so bought this and it works. Its plug & play and has advertised speed its dead simple.
