Buffalo Killers don't really have a bad record. Most everything they do is gold. I love this EP. The live songs are not really so great (recording). But, if you like green treats and solid jams, this EP is for you.

great band if you want a groups that really does sound like an early seventies continuation of the music of Cream, Deep Purple, Grand Funk etc.....

Great album by the Cincinnati based band. Some real rockers on this one!

I'm a big fan of the Buffalo Killers I started listening to them from their first album. I was hooked immediately by their retro psychedelic sound.3 was a step in a different direction for the Killers and Dig. Sow. Love. Grow. picked up off where 3 left off."Ohio Grass" is perhaps where the Killers take their biggest risks.1. Baptized - sounds very soulful almost like you'd be in church singing a hymn with some psychedelic guitar work and break downs. 5/52. Nothing Can Bring Me Down - this sounds like it could have been off of "Let It Ride" great harmonizing voices between Andrew and Zach on this one. Slight echo in the voice. Has a hint of the first album on this as well. 5/53. Grow Your Own - Has a heavy bass line on this and I really enjoy the lyrics and delivery on this song might be my favorite. I love the bridge towards the end. It starts off in your face and then the bridge is almost like one of the songs off of the first album taking you into your own special world. 5/54. Golden Eagle - Guitar work and groove of this song sounds very tropical almost rasta like. The longest song on the album at over 5 minutes. Slowest paced song off the album. 5/55. Hold You Me - Another great song off of the album. Interesting hesitation in the rhythm of the guitar work on this song. Pretty catchy song and easy to get stuck in your head. Pretty slow paced even after the last song which was probably the slowest on the album. 5/56. Some Other Kind - Might be my second favorite song on the album the first time I heard it I wasn't overly impressed with the lyrics but I just love the hard chords with when The Gabbard brothers wail. 5/57. Good Feeling - Pretty upbeat song and similar to the feel of "Golden Eagle" with a tropical sound to the song. 5/58. Jon Jacob (Live)9. Hey Girl (Live)10. Move On (Live) _________ The live albums are a nice edition though they may have been put on to make the album longer. I won't review the songs just let you know that they are off Jon Jacob, and Move On are off of the third album, 3. Hey Girl is the single off of Dig. Sow. Love. Grow.It's really nice to hear what they sound like live as I've never had the privilege of seeing them live (I had tickets a couple years ago to see them in NY and there was a major snow storm that caused the venue to shut down).The album cover suggests that the music on this album might go well with something. They capture the perfect sound to do as what "The Dude" would say "Mind if I do a J ?"
