Thank you for your question . It could work if your server has PCI-E X8 X16 slot , and supports the operating system that Broadcom BCM57810S NIC compatible. You are welcome to have one to test.

No, the 10G SFP+ network card does not support 2.5G rate.

Q: Does this card work with the cisco sfp+ ??

It has worked with every sfp+ cable we have thrown at it, probably a total of 5 various cables coded for different manufacturers. I will say though, we have not specifically tested with Cisco.
