Works OK (with reservations), I do like the Flashing Red Strobe Mode for behind the helmet flashing safety.
This product works OK but has problems as pointed out by others. I have experienced the "Intermittent Lighting" issue reported by others. Several Reviewers described how they "worked on" the contacts in the battery compartment to solve it. I contacted the Supplier by email for help per their "on the Product Package commitment" to provide "...delivering the best in customer support and satisfaction." I received NO RESPONSE - Bad Customer Service! I had originally purchased 2 of these headlamps one each for my wife & myself. Her's has continued to work, mine quit per my above comments. I "Looked" in the battery compartment for the answer per other Reviewers... I noticed that the electrical contact strip in the battery compartment cover seemed to be a bit below the edge around the compartment cover. So I gently inserted the tip of a knife blade under the electric contact strip and "Stretched it upward a bit", so that it was above compartment edge, then gently replaced the cover to the battery compartment. It now seems to be working reliably - I am still disappointed that Gemini, the product supplier, was NO HELP ON THIS MATTER.Comments on the performance of the Light & Head Band after I fixed it... 4 mode light option (4th mode is flashing red) seems to work well - I am using it primarily as a Flashing red strobe on the back of my head to alert Vehicle Drivers behind me of my presence on the road. So far when I hear or see a vehicle approaching from behind (I have rear view mirrors & keep a sharp lookout behind me), I see them move to the "Other lane" (other side of the road) to get around me long before they get close. Roads I travel are light traffic, so I don't know how this situation would work out on a busy road. The other 3 White Light modes work but are not as bright as another light that I have recently purchased - it would probably be adequate in a bike trail tunnel situation or to get you home at dusk if you "aren't quite there yet, but I would not use it as my primary "after dark" light source. The Head Band fits well & is comfortable - holds the light in position well. 3 Alkaline Triple A batteries seem to be providing adequate life in the Flashing Red Strobe Mode (so far about 20+ hours).

Cheap LED but good customer service
Bought two lamps based on the reviews on Amazon.First lamp was missing the battery compartment cover which houses the metal contacts. Without this the lamp is useless as it receives no power.Second lamp the controller was buggy. Sometimes it wouldn't even turn on, others ALL the LEDs lit up (red and white) some times it would flicker between 2LEDs and 4LEDs.The headband and mounts for the LED are actually quite good and feel solid, but the LED AND battery compartment are exceptionally cheap. There is a clip that holds the battery compartment on the unit, if this plastic clip snaps - which it will eventually as it's flexed every time you want to replace the batteries - the entire lamp will be useless as the battery compartment cap houses metal contacts that link up the three AA batteries and power the bulbs.Customer service was excellent, very good communication, but I just wish the led lamp was better quality and thought out more. I would have paid another $1 (10% more) to have it. I ended up buying two LED headlamps that were still very cheap at $20 ea but are a lot higher quality and have a FOCUS.

Decent but there are better options
These were cheap but I ended buying 2 and doing a little comparison. I got this Gemini and the Mitaki 8-bulb headlamp. The Gemini actually looked like maybe the better unit and had come down in price but still a couple bucks more than the Mitaki, but I like the Mitaki better so far. The Gemini has a pretty narrow spot light projection. It's not great for working on stuff nearby, like engine work or plumbing or electrical stuff in the attic, as only the immediate 12" diameter spot in front of you gets much light. I guess if you are hiking looking at further away objects it might be alright, but the wider pattern of the Mitaki is more comfortable for close quarters work. Both are of similar brightness. Both have a similar light white balance that is a bit too blueish for my taste, which has been a problem with cheap 'white' leds for years. But okay for a sub 10 buck headlamp.
