Move Wearable USB Portable Motion Charger External Battery Pack for iPhone, Samsung & More – Black

I put this in my sock and went on a 19 mile day hike. It only charged up to one light out of four and when I plugged into my iPhone 6+ I only got a 1% charge before it went dead. I suspect the others that have reviewed this product and gave it a good review charged it from the USB and never really tested to see if it actually charges while walking. I did read somewhere that you don't want to start with the Ampy being dead for it to charge while walking. For me that would make this useless as I planned on using this during long distance hikes and plugging it into my phone in the evening and then having to monitor it so it does not get totally drained would be impractical.

I'm reposting this review from the ampy move with accessories. Here you only get the Ampy Move device with NO accessories.If you're hoping to fully charge this backup battery from 1 LED to 4 LEDs through motion alone you will be sorely disappointed. I think the claim that 3 weeks for an active user will only hold true if you're training for the longest marathon in the world and you can dedicate your every waking day and night to running for your life. Sorry but that's just not practical for your average user. The Ampy team will claim you're still generating energy no matter how abysmal and even when faced with real world testing results, they refuse to accept that they made an underwhelming product.. They will say your device is probably faulty and try to send you another one. Don't bother......just get a refund.Oh and their so called app makes no direct connections to the device and relies on your own smartphone fitness tracking (Google Fit/Apple Health) to ESTIMATE how much energy you're producing. Emphasis on the ESTIMATE. It in no ways ties into what your battery is actually producing from your motion.I'm another disappointed Kickstarter donor who was brought on by false hype and claims. The only saving grace is that it works as a backup battery that recharges at a decent speed from a wall outlet. It seems to be built well and you can even use it as a fridge magnet! Other than that, it falls flat and is no better then any other backup battery on the market though you can get one of much larger capacity for less then what you're being charged here.

Was an original kickstarter backer of this project. Great idea and works wonderfully, holding a full charge for my phone when I need it.

Doesn't work while hiking.

I ordered this originally through their kickstarter launch and receieved mine in December. It just doesn't work. Very disappointed and have filed for a refund.
