ExtremeBeam SX21-Ho Blackbird Tactical Flashlight

My research regarding this flashlight began after seeing it advertized by Pat Gray on the Glenn Beck program. True to Glenn's mantra, I did my own homework - And after many brand comparisons and battery requirement comparisons, I settled on the Blackbird.The Blackbird is extremely bright, which is what one wants is any emergency situation. The flashlight may be pulsed (momentary contact), which one requires in an home invasion, or put in a steady-on state, which is required in a power-loss emergency. The on/off button is on the end-cap, which is optimum for home-defense.Battery life is good (I'm am still on my first battery after approximately two hours use. The battery compartment has an excellent water-tight seal. The Blackbird literally lights-up my backyard during my pups late-night romps - and at a fraction of the price of other defensive flashlight models.I also recommend purchasing the economical  Streamlight 85177 CR123A Lithium Batteries, 12-Pack . These lithium CR123As are much cheaper than the big-box store price for CR123A.Highly recommended.UPDATE 20 April 2015Please note that the three naysayers (Mitchell, 'Jose', and Washburn) which follow this review, __ARE NOT__ verified Amazon buyers of __this__ product. That fact should be a major consideration when appraising their input, which falsely skews the rating of an excellent product. For one reviewer - It's their only review.I am a verified buyer of this product, NOT a company spokesperson, and have actively used this flashlight for over TWO years. It has been immersed in water and dropped several times - NO PROBLEMS - Flawless in its operation. This flashlight is extremely reliable (sorry for the pun). Would recommend this flashlight for spelunking, aquarium use (in or out of water), as a firearms rail light, or at least as a bedside table flashlight (for blinding any intruder prior to dealing with the intruder). Batter life not as expected

Not happy with it. Good light when it works. Ether the switch or led is bad and it's not a month old. Have to shake or beat it to make it come on.

the negative views must be bias because there out right not true thin light does everything they say it does

Purchased this after reading some great specs, upon receiving it discovered it is made in China, and as the other review mentioned the beam is lousy, rings and artifacts. Much prefer my Streamlight Polytac's for less money, which have a much nicer beam. Wish I had read a review like this before I wasted the money...

I love it, how could it be made better? Customer service was great
