LOVED IT! Well worth the wait!
In true Conn fashion, there is lot's of trouble tumbling down hill - all aimed at Conn! I don't want to give away any of the story line and ruin the surprise, but Sarah Prineas is a great yarn spinner, who makes totally lovable characters the reader can't help but care about. This long awaited story didn't disappoint - now we just have to try to wait patiently, hopefully for another book in this series! Will Rowan and Embre fall in love? What about Benet and Captain Kerrn? And is there a lady out there for Nevery somewhere? Only time - and Sarah - will tell! :)* Please note: I paid for my book, and it was worth every penny!

A good bit of adventure
Overall it was a fun adventure in the series- sometimes it doesn't read true- actions seem to initiate more from the author than from the characters- but after two or three chapters it seems to smooth out and feel more genuine. This book, like the others reads a little young- it doesn't have the layered storytelling that say HP had in its early books- which means that it requires a little more indulgence from older readers, but there is a good rollicking adventure here and if you stick with it, it is a fun addition to the series.

Excellent
Enjoyed the series. Would have liked to be able to decifre the codes at the end of some of the chapters, but could not take a screenshot of the code alphabet sheet at the end of the book.

nice little story
If you're looking for sophisticated adult fantasy literature, this book is not for you. However, if you're interested in a quick, entertaining read - and don't get hung-up on the fact that you're reading something a middle-schooler would probably like - this book is for you. As one of my nieces has often said to me, some of the most creative stories come from those that are aimed at younger readers. This series certainly validates that notion. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Engaging Series
My son was so excited to receive this book for Valentines Day. This is a very engaging series. Not to mention at the end of each book there is a cool recipe to bake. The only down fall is that the final book of this series can only be found in ebook version. My son likes to keep series of books he read on shelf.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!
This book is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! From the start of the series to the end every character, symbol, and place has been thought out and planed so well! Conn, Nevery, Benet, and all the rest have not failed to charm me, and scare me at the same time! Hats off to Sarah Prineas for an amazing book! Many more successes to come!

Entertaining
This is a very entertaining addition to the original trilogy. The story provides a good amount of suspense while hinting at deeper values of some of the key characters. Some questions remain unanswered from the third book such as what, exactly, happened to Conn when the magic "took" him. If you liked the first three, Book Four will likely be a good read.

Good story
Conn is back along with all his friends I this new book. But some old enemies are back too and the two magics haven't learned how to work in cooperation. Con has to go back to his roots as a street thief to fine who is behind some strange thefts before the city erupts into a magical storm that will sweep them all away. But the magics always demand a price. What will it cost Conn this time?A fun, well written continuation of Conn's story. I hope more will be comming!

Just Fantastic..
If you liked Septimus Heap, this is worth a read - as is the rest of the series.Found I got into the story line fairly quickly, and by the first 100-odd pages, I knew I would be buying the rest.
