I bought this item and was taken. I received a real one from a friend for Christmas, they knew that I collected them and while I was putting them all away I noticed that there were a number of things that was off with it. The box was lighter than the others, not textured as the box of this year should have been, the ribbon was not the one that comes standard, the packaging was wrong, the ribbon mount was pitted and the year tag was also, plus placed badly. Yes the right shape of the crystal snowflake but it was an impostor!!! You can see in the picture that one box is distinctly darker that the other box and the quality of the crystal is better with the one that has the darker box. When looking at the two you can tell the fake one is cheaply made (definitely not crystal) though it looks very similar. I am furious right now someone can be so cruel!!!

I order one of these every year and the packaging and box seemed different, the ribbon was not already looped and tied in the ornament, the box was thinner and seemed cheaper than the 5 other boxes that I have. The ornament itself, and this could be all in my head because of the packing, but didn't seem to sparkle as much as the others I have. My suspicion is this is a really good copy, but I can't be certain of that.
