are both prongs teh same size ?

Either the seller doesn't understand the question, doesn't know their product, or the product has changed. I took a chance buying these with the HOPE that the prongs were NOT polarized (i.e. one prong is wider than the other), based on some people's reviews. I just received my order today (12/29/21) and they are NOT polarized. Both prongs are the SAME size!!

I properly installed mine (screwing it in), but my surge protector (it's an old 2015 model) is telling me that it isn't Grounded. Is this normal?

Good for a 8000 btu air conditioner at 115v?

It should be fine. The description of this item says it's good up to 125v. Basically all it does is enable you to change a three prong plug into a 2 prong plug.
