Nightshade: A Novel

I love John Saul and I can't wait to read this book. Was mostly happy with this purchase except I ordered it new and it came beat up. Not a big deal though.

John Saul never dissapoints. This book is no exception. The pace is steady throughout and picks up at the end for a nice twist. A good read.

I have probably read all of John Saul books. This was a very good book. I wish he would come out with a new book soon. I will look forward to it..

I just love a good John Saul book. He is a great writer .He catches and hold your interest wiith his story line. As a writer he will hold your interest even if you do not care for the story,that is a gift.

Decent if you are looking for a psychological thriller with an atmosphere. However if you are looking for the supernatural choose another book by Saul. It reads pretty slow at times. Not my favourite one and consider me a big fan of this writer.

I have been a John Saul fan since his first book and somehow this one snuck by me(or else my kids'borrowed" it first. He keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat until the last few pages. This one was great as usual.

I LOVE John Saul's work! He keeps you in suspense right up until the last page. All of his books have just the right balance to make them scary but almost believable.

solidly written. but, without giving too much away. it seems to me that the author couldn't decide whether the story was a supernatural chiller or a psychological thriller and it suffered for this. the characters came across as shallow and one dimensional probably because the author was trying not to give the game away to early.for me either the novel needed to be shorter or the characters filled out far more for the length.I always finish any book I start, no matter how hard that proves to be and this one was hard and sadly predictable. I've given it three stars because there were signs though few of a good idea but just not handled right.

A very compelling story! I finished reading in just two days, desperate to find out how it would end. Did not disappoint. My only negative is that I didn't understand how Matt heard the voice, when he was out hunting. His sanity wasn't in question (at that stage) and it was never really explained.Notwithstanding, I highly recommend this novel!

Haven't read John Saul for a while. This is so good I think I've been missing out. Creepy and you don't know what's going on until the end. Really enjoyed this.

This book certainly messes with the mind. It pulls you in and just doesn't want to let go! So many twists and turn I just didn't know what was the truth and what was lies. Brilliant book with brilliant writing 🙌.

Great storyline , could not put book down once I started reading, very well written and thought through, not my normal type of book but will without a doubt read all his other books, after I've finished his next one which I received directly after finishing this last one, you will not be disappointed .......
