Salient 900 Lumens LED Handheld Tactical Torch Flashlight

I work aircraft maintenance on the night shift, so having a good flashlight is vital. The Salient delivers in both brightness and functionality. One of the key functions I enjoy is the zoom function. If you're not using it, you're not getting the maximum power of this flashlight. Fully zoomed out, you can flood an entire inspection area. When zoomed in, the aircraft tail if highly visible from the ground. All in all, the best flashlight I've ever obtained for the price. And battery life has been great so far for my 80 hour work week.

It has some really nice features but no-way this is a 900 lumen max light...I have a surefire with 500 lumens and the Salient on the highest output mode just barley matches the surefire for brightness. Not sure how each company measures the output exactly or if there is a standard. Granted the Salient is half the price of the Surefire, but based on setting expectations too high and then missing expectations I have to give the Salient only 3 stars.

Great brightness. The zoom feature makes it so that I can go from seeing a whole room to making my cat chase a light beam. I was also really impressed with the different lighting settings, allowing for a strobe and an SOS signal to be sent automatically with the light. The construction feels solid and the light has a great weight in my hand when I hold it.

This is a great light. Solidly built and very bright. Can light up the entire room, or deliver a bright, clear beam at a distance with the sliding zoom that is smooth to operate. I use this mostly at work in a production facility. It makes it easy to read info off of equipment or see into tight spaces and is a great size to carry with me throughout the day. It has a nice weight and feel that makes me believe it will hold up well to heavy use.

I don't know if this thing is defective or just the dullest flashlight on the market. I thought I was purchasing an extremely bright tactical flashlight and what I got was a toy for my kids.. After all of this non sense on the internet about tactical flashlights, I was hoping for something special. Just another marketing campaign with nothing to back it up from my perspective. If this company was legit they would send me another that actually works and lives up to the claims. There you have it, the gauntlet has been laid down because right now i'm not wasting my time dealing with sending it back..

This is the only flashlight I've found (and have tried many) that is both bright and lightweight enough for walking safely at night. Very happy with the customer service from Salient as well.

Best flashlight ever, I suggest using the rechargeable batteries for the best performance.

The Flashlight brightness is good. After using the flash light for 2 days the lens came loose from it's mount. I was able to put the lens back into position. looking at how the lens is installed I can't see how they can call this water resistance. One of the springs in for the batteries was also bent when I received the flashlight.
