folding tower) are nicely machined and anodized
Shipping was fast with Prime. Sights arrived in a plain brown cardboard box and were packaged in little baggies.Overall construction of the sights is VERY similar to some more expensive sights that I have. All the aluminum pieces (base, folding tower) are nicely machined and anodized. Lockup is quite solid and they don't really wiggle much more than my name brand BUIS. Lower quality is evident in the steel mounting hardware (screw and threaded block) and rear aperture sights. The threaded block threads feel a little soft when tightening down the mounting screw. I'd be wary of mounting/unmounting the sights too many times and overtightening the screw. Similarly, the rear sight windage adjustment feels a little bit mushy. There's a ball detent there but not much positive feedback. That means it's also pretty easy to spin the windage adjustment with just your finger. I don't mind that too much but there's always the risk of that adjustment drum bumping into something and messing with your zero. Compare this to my name brand sights that pretty much require a flathead driver to turn the windage drum. Rear sight aperture piece also looks a little cheaply finished (appears cast). The apertures are both diamond shape apertures. One is a full diamond while the other is more like 3/4 diamond with an open top. One cool feature is the full aperture has two cast in spots on either side that could probably be painted white for better visibility.Initial impressions of the sights are good. I haven't run them hard yet so long term durability is yet unknown. At worst I see the mounting screws loosening (maybe put some loc-tite on the threads) or the roll pins coming out, both of which are easily remedied if you're the least bit handy. That being said, they are incredibly cheap for what you get and I think they will be excellent back up sights.EDIT 12-13-15: Looks like the product has changed. The picture now shows YHM style flip up sights, instead of the Troy style sights I received. Just a heads up to anyone looking at this.

Wecsog alert
Everything I have purchased from Acme has been GTG . They have a lot of AR stuff on their website . These are chicom made . I have 2 sets of these and for a range toy they are great and they are made out of steel.

price right and work fine!
Solid and don't move in upright position. Have seen similar units with laser printed logos for multiples of this price and these work just as good.

Worth the price but ......
I definitely got my money's worth but next time I believe I will buy more of the Dagger Defense tactical flipup BUIS sights which I believe are somewhat better made.

These are really nice. Quality materials with no machine marks
These are really nice. Quality materials with no machine marks. Fit, finish and operation are as good as any others including so-called brand names. Remain on target.

Not was what is pictured; way different than photo
Ordered upon reading pretty good reviews, the sights I received are not the ones in the picture they are not spring pop up nor do they have Allen bolts. The sights that I received had huge thumb screws and are not slanted in the front. They are pretty bulky looking compared to slim profile in the pics. They do seem to be pretty sturdy sights but disappointed that I did not get what I thought I was ordering. They are ok for what was paid.
