The photo shows a tablet in the back. What keeps this from tipping over? It looks to tall and narrow. Please advise. Many thanks.

The unit does not tip over, because the slots are designed to keep larger devices more upright. The weight of larger devices is distributed mostly downwards, not towards the front or back, which prevents tipping.

It appears as though the slots are wide enough to hold iPads with Otterbox cases. Can anyone confirm this? I have two iPads with Otterboxes. Thanks!

Otterboxed iPads (1) will definitely fit. So you can get three of them on, or two and two phones/smaller devices. If you're willing to have them hang them off a bit you can get two side by side.

Will this station accommodate the ac charging unit for a macbook air along with the usb charger? the (mac) charger dimensions are 2 1/2" square x 1".

Absolutely. The top/organizer part separates from the lower section so you can easily align the cords to the proper spaces. The worst case scenario is that you'd have to run the plug out the side and not the bottom to allow for more room. I really wish I could attach a picture here.
