===UPDATE===I CANNOT recommend this chair!!!The replacement chair is not working correctly now.If I lean back too much, the back left pivot joint flexes and locks up.This requires me to “pull” forward on the back, so it can be adjusted again.Plus, with four months of use, I can say definitively, this chair is very hard and hot to sit in all day long.***I am writing this review after receiving a replacement for the original; details below.***When you see this chair, you think "WOW!!! That's a cool looking chair."But after it is delivered and you put it together, you think "I'm glad I didn't pay full price...but I still paid too much."The original chair arrived in two boxes, with separate tracking numbers, but both boxes were pretty beat up.The assembly of the original chair wasn't hard, but on the second one, the bolts would not drive straight, so it took some torque to drive them with the included hex wrench.The rotor and caliper look cool, but they are plastic, as is the spring on the base.The arms look great, with the metal springs and the tire tread top will leave an imprint on your arms.(I'm a gear head, so I like that!)But the arm height is NOT adjustable! Seriously... this can put your wrists in a bad position if you work for extended periods.The shift handle is neat for raising and lowering the chair..The lumbar support is functional, but the hose can get pinched if you don't pay attention.The wheels seem to be cheap hard plastic, so I don't know how long they will last.As for the comfort, the seat is pretty hard for a daily work chair, but the side thigh support is good.The seat back is tall, so you can put your head back and the ability to recline the chair 15 degrees, is nice too.The reason for my return and replacement, was that the material on the back, was pulled away from the plastic pan...out of the box! (see pictures)But even on the replacement, the same problem has occurred, though not as severe.I will say that I am not a fan of the silver caliper on this model. But this part appears to be removable(screws), so I may take it off and do a custom paint job on it after a while.In summary....This is a neat office chair and definitely is a conversation piece.But with daily use, I'm not sure how long it will last?Which is sad for an office chair that retails for $600.Finally, I would like to contact the manufacturer about the quality issues, but they say you have to work with the retailer.

Initially I was disappointed the disc rotor was plastic but loved the chair. Now an update. In 2015 I bought the chair, in 2018 I noticed a tear open up in the fabric. I contacted the Pitstop folks and they sent a whole new seat. Outstanding customer service. Very well built chair. Just make sure you get and customer service requests to Jons Van Dooren, [email protected]. If you contact Amazon they send you to the seller who sends you back to Amazon.

I am very unhappy with this chair. The first one was missing parts and the second one wobbles and the pneumatics leak. this was a very expensive chair for such poor quality I would never buy this again...when you contact pit stop furniture or amazon you get no help .Its aggravating every time you sit in this chair..

If I still had the boxes I would prolly return it... the seat cushion is hard and i sit my desk for long periods. The right side armrest is very loose with no way to tighten it which is very annoying. The High back is not easily reclinable. You must hand turn the wheels on oppisite sides at the same time to try get it to recline. WOW I Wish Wouldn't Have Bought IT

had this chair bout a year now and love it!!! takes a lil bit to break it in but I play video games and work on cars alot so this was a must have!!

This chair is "way cool". It was delivered on time. It was VERY EASY to assemble. It is solid and comfortable. I wish I had not worried about the price prior to purchasing because it is worth it. This chair will be around for a long time.

Chair came in two packages both open.Chair was damaged. I am returning the chair.

Bought in 2012 .after two years of daily use it works and looks great. The company did a great job.
