Pond improved in only two months
After doing some research, I purchased this for use in my 1.5 acre pond. In combination with quality weighted airline, I find it's performance extremely satisfactory. It creates fantastic turbulence while diffusing the air nicely, particularly in conjunction with an air compressor moving about 3.5 cfm. Wisdom I've now learned from experience: it makes a TREMENDOUS difference where it's located with regard to depth -- the deeper, the better. Also, this product is not self-weighted; you'll need to weigh it down with something. Personally, I ran the final hose connection through the center of half of a broken cement block (the kind with two holes when unbroken), then secured the diffuser to the hose. This way, it's not so heavy that it can't then be lifted out of the water and moved, so long as the connection is good and secure. Overall, I'm perfectly pleased with this product, and have already noticed a distinct improvement in the nature of my pond after only two months!

Had to engineer it, but works great
I love the fact that it really disperses air to my1/4 acre pond via my solar air pump. Once I had the right fittings to go with it it works great, as when it is receiving air from my pump, it floats which is great, as my other diffuser would get blocked up with muck from the bottom of the pond over time. I ended up getting an elbow fitting that I then attached to my sinking air hose. From there I fastened with long zip ties a couple of 4 ounce fishing weights, and another 16ounce fishing weight that hung about a foot from the bottom of the diffuser. this allows it to float off the bottom while aerating. Works great and am happy with the product, although it's a bit pricey.

Might have to adapt the fitting!
This membrane is a great aerator, but the supplier fails to mention the threaded hole size and does not include any adapters for your air tube. I went to home depot and spent $12 on brass fittings so it would attach to my 5/8" id tubing.

Very happy with fine bubble distribution
Very happy with fine bubble distribution. Unit is basically a plastic disk with a npt pipe connection on the bottom. The top is a rubber like membrane. I needed to use a brick as a weight to get it to sink to the bottom. Using a 40 watt diaphragm style pump at about 3 ft depth. Very good circulation around aerator. Seems very effective and efficient. Leaves a large ice free area so Very happy with product!

Plastic connector didnt last in pond.
After a little more than a year (13 months) found it floating in our pond. The plastic connector snapped.

Great air flow!
We were a little wary of this disc with rubber membrane at first, but it works great. Rolling bubbles with lots of turbulence with minimal air pressure. We have pond with 20' windmill for areation. We were using 8" airstones, but those require a lot of air pressure and just not getting good flow. New disc is great so far.

Great Product
Great quality and works exactly as described. My pond is 6 ft deep with a 25 food diameter (its a large round pond) and this seems to be working well for it. We will see if it helps clear up the muck over time. We put it in the middle of the pond and you can see tons of little tiny bubbles flow up to the top and disperse across the surface.

Here's how I mounted it
Good product. Lots of fine bubbles. Here's how I mounted it. Milk crate zip-tied to a 55 gallon drum lid (weight + footing to keep it from sinking into the mud)(farm pond)
