Really nice quality
I've had this mic for about a week and a half now and so far it is working wonderfully. I use this mic mostly to talk to friends on Skype when we are gaming and from they have said, the static that used to come from using my previous mic has been greatly reduced. Basically, this mic does exactly what I want and my voice comes through crisp and clear. Do note, however, you may need to purchase an audio-and-mic splitter cable if you wish to use this with your computer. That said, this mic works really well by itself on smartphones.

Mic was much worse than expected
I was hopeful that this mic would work out, but I was wrong. While it did pick up some sound, I literally had to yell to get much out of it. Even the standard iphone mic was infinitely better than this. I figured it could have been a mic volume issue, but to no avail. I tired this mic in several different devices - all with the gain maxed out and all had the same result. My conclusion is that this mic just didn't perform and I will be looking for a different option.

Might not work with your device if it's not a phone
From what other reviews are saying, this microphone only seems to work with phones, for the most part. It does not work with my Sennheiser wireless receiver. Upon closer inspection, this lavalier has 3 visible rings on it. My Sennheiser lavalier that I was trying to replace had 2 rings. The product description needs to be a little more verbose about what is and isn't expected to work for this microphone. It's too late for me to return this microphone by the time I ordered it, so I'm ordering this other microphone that has 2 rings on it: Pro Lavalier Lapel Microphone Microdot 6016 For SENNHEISER Wireless Transmitter - Omni-directional Condenser Mic

it was great. Then I needed to record a song which ...
When I was just using it with my finace's and my phones (iPhone 5C and Samsung Galaxy S5), it was great. Then I needed to record a song which means listening to a background track while singing at the same time, in my case using a program called Audacity. Shouldn't have been an issue for my months-old HP Envy desktop, right? It has a zillion jacks and USB ports. Well, I have literally spent eight hours over the course of several days trying unsuccessfully to make it work. The pinkish mic jack in the back doesn't work. The blue input jack in the back doesn't work. Trying to use it by itself with an adapter in any of USB ports doesn't work. Trying to use it with the head phones also plugged into that same USB adapter doesn't work. None of the million supposed fixes I found on YouTube and Google work. I also tried it just with the Voice Recorder to see if Audacity was the problem. That didn't work. Want to know what finally worked? Plugging the MICROPHONE into the HEADPHONE jack - and then trying the headphones in every other jack and configuration, but that didn't work. So I can listen or record, but not both. I kind of want to rip my hair out right now and am going to have to buy another mic. This one is not bad if all you want to do is record on your phone and don't need to simultaneously listen to something, but if you need to do anything more involved, stay away.

Pros and Cons
I was doing a few comparison tests to the microphone on my phone (from which I must use to film videos) and this little microphone and I found that each microphone has its pros and cons. While my phone's mic can't pick up far noises, it does a smidge better in cancelling out background noise. This mic is however really good at picking up all noises ( and I mean ALL) but provides a little more background noise than I'd like. It is a very good mic for the price.

Quality clip/light weight mic; perfect purchase
I am going back to school in the new year and while I am only going back to study paralegal, it's a precursor for law school in the next few years. Something I personally needed to work on was public speaking, lowering my voice, and ,my diction. One thing that my adviser said was try to capture my voice...so I researched lapel mics and found this one! I am SO happy with my purchase...I've been practicing vocal exercises on it and it's excellent since I can do it while also walking around, doing stuff around the house! This came exactly how it was described and one thing I love is that the clip is HEAVY DUTY. Like, if you step or sit or drop this, it will not break! While it's serious business, it's also surprisingly light. Unless you are actively using it, you might forget it's even attached to you! All and it, it was a great purchase...one of those few purchases where it literally makes you feel ahead of the game!Pictures to come!!

Great Mic to use with an Iphone and Garage Band.
I bought this microphone to connect to my iPhone 6 and record tutorials for posting to YouTube. I have multiple people who do prop making tutorials and trying to capture audio with the camera's microphone did not work. Using this microphone and Garage Band on my iPhone allows me to get clear audio separate from the cameras microphone that I can overlay later when I edit the video. The 6.5' length means that I can put my iPhone out of the way of the person wearing the microphone and still get the audio that I need.

Not what I expected.
Well, I bought this for my laptop. But when its plugged in, I can't hear anything. It works fine to pick up sound. Just can't hear through my speakers when its plugged in. Not what I wanted.
